floater, how much do you like those magpul G36 pmags? Are they worth the price?
Anyone here know anything about the RS Type 97B? I came across it today when looking at the Type 56 and aside from the price it looks like a neat gun, especially since it's something short that isn't an M4 or P90, and still uses STANAG.

Everything made by Real Sword is phenomenal.
Only issues with their 97 series is that there's very little space for a battery, and they're picky with mags. If you look up a guide for them, you should be able to find the specifics on what you need for both.
From personal experience, I can say they look, feel, and perform at a top notch level.
My path in life shall be saving up for a WE XM177E2 (I must finish this VN lodowt) and mags/accessories then if I'm still interested in another AEG I'll save for the T97B.
I don't need no pistols anyways, not even in vidya.
I am looking towards getting an AEG that I can use as a DMR. Right now, I am looking at the Matrix Custom SR-25 (possibly made by A&K, says Matrix on evike, linked below). Are there any others that perform similarly if not better for $200-$250? http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=42272
keep in mind that a stock gun that makes a decent dmr is incredibly rare and expensive

I know, I'm asking for the 200-250 price range so I can afford upgrades.
As a starter your base is going to be something made by G&P. If you want to go for the best platform as far as I know the G&P M14's are pretty damn up there. In my experience (and oh god, I've owned 20+ AEG's) G&Ps shoot the farthest out of the box.

Any specific models? I'd like to have a good amount of rail space
One of their SR-15's or SR-25's if you can find one in your price range.

I found one SR-15 (just looking at evike right now, looking at more places later) but it didn't really measure up to the one I linked which is only 10 bucks more.
Define measure up? A G&P will outperform a A&K every day all day.

The SR-25 just has more customization options, fits a bigger battery, has a full stock (not a fan for the crane stock the other one had), mostly just personal preferences

1. no it doesn't, M4 parts are much more common than sr25 parts.
2. you can buy an aftermarket stock and install pretty easily.

also wtf r u talking about, the only G&P SR15 I can find on evike is the $400 one

that may be, but like I said, just preferences. Don't want to buy anything I don't need to. Also, her is the SR-15 i found http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=33572
he recommended you a G&P SR15 and you picked a shitty matrix one to compare to the SR25, gg

A little over $250 with shipping and 20% off coupon, but it's probably one of the closest guns you could get partially setup as a DMR out of the box.
You don't seem to understand the concept of brands. I said a G&P Sr15 if you can find one in your price range. That's some weird chinese brand.
[editline]9th May 2013[/editline]
Plus you say you want to upgrade it yet you don't want a Sr-15 despite the fact that you can change the stock with $20 and one screw.

Those G&P M14's are fantastic on the inside and outside.
Alternatively I'm selling my G&G SR-25 for a bit out of your price range in the Buy, Sell, Trade thread, but it kicks the shit out of the A&K one.
I wanna get a really god damn ungainly NBB to compensate for my sporadic ass mechanically-neglected primary. My only concern is that real fields and less casual players will give me a hard time about the unsafe velocity

Is there a way to cheat a too-hot gas pistol to pass as a sniper rifle by slapping a scope + foldy stock + longer barrel on it? I know KJW has an elongated ruger set up like that that pierces flesh and bone but I've never seen those used in anything but target practice.
Should I just forget about it and buy a bunch of midcaps instead

So you are saying that you want to use a 500 FPS gun as a pistol.
And pretend that its a sniper rifle so you can get past the crono.
What.
EDIT: You are knowingly taking a gun that is completely unsafe and has the capacity to "pierce flesh and bone" as you said and use it in CQB. Please stop playing airsoft for the safety of those who play it responsibly.

Sorry, I didn't check the brand, that was my bad.
I owned that gun in the short barrel configuration, and it was the biggest POS I've ever owned. Leaked gas, no hop up, and the BBs curved down dramatically so you couldn't hit shit. Get a revolver.
Thanks Vandy. That's why I'm asking questions. The rest of ya really need to leave that hostility in the trash where it belongs. Take it from me, I've been down that road
Can anyone recommend a decent CO2 pistol, blowback or not, for under 150 USD? reliable baby pistol or a whopping gargantua, doesn't make a difference to me. I just gotta find a sidearm

we're being mean to you because you're actively trying to break rules and hurt people, which shines a bad light on our community.
what kind of late-for-school, born-in-1996 world do you live in where being a snot to the decreasingly ignorant is an act of valiant justice?
I'm not even boasting about how cool it is to break the rules anymore.
We're moving on.

I've heard horrifying tales of how crummy 1911s are in the airsoft world. How much of that is based in reality? I really dig the look of 1911s but I'm wary.
That's what happens when you come off as a huge jackass. You made quite possibly the WORST first impression I have ever had the misfortune to witness.

I seriously cannot comprehend where you're coming from here. You're being a total dick to everyone here and expect us to treat you like you're something special, and you act like you own the place. I'll just grab a bag of popcorn and wait for the banhammer to drop
