You...you actually bought an FSBE repro. Better hope you can do returns because I too once had an FSBE repro when I first got into airsoft and it was the worst piece of airsoft equipment I have ever owned. You can do WAY better for that price.
Whats wrong with it?? Could you explain and i think i can do returns
If it's not too late, DONT get an FSBE style plate carrier. I have a repro FSBE and it's super annoying to put on. The front and back panels connect by two big velcro patches on the sides, it's pretty much impossible to get both sides on evenly without someone helping you/you have really dexterous arms.
I can see why cummerbund style attachments ala 6094/JPC are popular, they're easy to put on since all the velcro attachment is right in front of you instead of having to contort yourself to reach around to your sides.

I thought Osprey was just covered in normal MOLLE?
If it is, theres loads of DPM Mag pouches and utility pouches out there for relatively cheap since DPM's being phased out to be replaced by MTP
Yes it is, but most of it is desert DPM. Woodland Osprey vests are rare so that means the woodland pouches for it are as well unfortunately. I suppose I could just buy repro or Dutch stuff.
also FSBE gear is pretty cheap already. dont know why anyone would buy repro

How can I cost effectively make my Classic Army 249 Para into an effective BB wars machine?

SHS 13:1 gear, Lonex A2 short motor, M110 sprin, airseal mods, and replace the soft hop up nub with a section of pen tube or a section of tube from a WD40 can or something of that nature for hopup consistency. Madbull black python barrel, G&G green bucking. A 7.4v lipo with a high mah rating so that you get crisp and fast trigger response, rate of fire, and it lasts all day. Also a pack of 9v batteries to keep on your person at all times because the need arises when you're least prepared.

Most importantly, have fun. CA 249 GB is the easiest gearbox to work on ever. Spring doesn't jump out because of the quick release, and nothing is held under tension, so it all just goes together like nothing.
What's a good sales forum for GBBRs? I'm looking for a WE M16A1.

Gasguns.info is the biggest GBB site that I know of. It'll be your friend if you get in to GBBR's.

I have absolutely no clue.
Well I posted in his thread, hopefully this will be the beginning of a return to the game.

That's the one I have on my MK18. It's p good, finish and trades are nice, but the shroud comes off really easy.
Is applying Velcro to old soviet patches worth it?

British army gear question
I've got the opportunity to purchase a MK6 helmet with a DPM cover for £20. Should I grab this or save up some more dosh for a MK7?
Thoughts on G&G M14, L85 and ARES TAR?
G&G M14's and L85's are the best on the market but have the more expensive magazine design; the ARES TAR is considered the worst gearbox to work on in all of airsoft and since its ARES the internals are pretty shit and the externals are only average+, avoid completely.
What ever happened to this variant of desert DPM?

I can only ever find the boring two color versions and these look a lot better imo.

If you are doing a pre 2005 loadout you want a MK6 if you are doing a pre 2009 loadout you want the MK6A if you are doing a current (2009) to now loadout, you want the MK7, if you are not doing a specific impression don't bother getting one at all, they are heavy and cumbersome and totally pointless.

I think thats a Portuguese copy.
[editline]14th August 2014[/editline]
It's right at the bottom of this page: http://camopedia.org/index.php?title=Portugal
[editline]14th August 2014[/editline]
Either that or it's Saudi Arabian.
Are you sure? Because the little "Made In England" on the tag makes me think otherwise.

Oh no, wait. I just did some more reading about Desert DPM and apparently this was pattern that was developed but never used by the British, they were sold off to the Iraqis. It's not Portuguese.

Ah ok. So pretty much impossible to get nowadays, thanks for the info.
[editline]14th August 2014[/editline]
Wow Iraq just uses everyone else's patterns. http://vonstuckcamouflage.free.fr/iraq.php
Even got PLA's Type 07 digital tibetarn.
its a lot cheaper to just buy surplus from another country than to develop your own.
Problem is most of the time they don't buy it surplus, just copy the pattern based on the principle that if a legit army tested and picked it, it must work, which would be a fairly solid idea if they didn't start messing with it to make it look less obvious a rip or just for unique snowflake effect.
Anyone ever use a Prowin hop-up unit or an A+ REAPS bucking? I've heard they're very good together.

When I saw videos of ISIS fighters wearing Type 07 highland I thought they were buying it from sketchy Chinese airsoft sites to be honest. I didn't know they seized it from the Iraqi military until now

Alright, the guy also says that the L85 needs a new fuse and the M14 needs a new selector plate. Don't know if the selector plate is rare so should I go ahead?
