That seems like either an impossible or very hard job to do...... but don't take my word for it as I'm lacking in experience.
Seems like it'd be easier to just shove some PVC inside and make it fire 40mm grenades instead. It looks more like an RPG anyway.
I know this may sound like a stupid question, but is it cheaper to buy a boneyard rifle and fix it up or is it cheaper to buy a completely new one?
Honestly it depends. I wouldn't buy a boneyard gun unless I knew exactly what was wrong with it (which is rare) and I was confident I could fix it.
I've never brought a bone yard gun, even though I've been tempted to many times over the years, I feel its down to the specific gun in question, if its an expensive gun from a decent brand going for cheap because of some mechanical failing, its probably worth doing (by someone who knows what they are doing), Even if you just drop in an after market Chinese gearbox for the time being. (a functional Chinese gearbox beats a non functional 'high end' one) of course that is an option for less experienced (gearbox wise) airsofter's to bring a non functional AEG back online as well I think its probably less and less worth doing the cheaper the said gun is to buy new. I don't know about the US but in the UK right now a new player can buy a brand new fully fledged AEG for £99.99 +P&P, now unless a bone yard gun is really dirt cheap that'll be hard to beat ....is it as good as a £200-300 gun? of course not don't be a cunt, but it's more than good enough for a new player and beats the shit out of the new players I've seen with fucking LPEGS on legit sites. for people already 'in the sport' its really down to their cash flow & knowhow
Can anyone identify which country this webbing is from? The eBay seller says it's an Eastern European copy of the British 58 pattern webbing, possibly Czech, but I was wondering if anyone knew for sure where it's from? This is the only picture the seller has in the listing.
I have a set of '58 Pattern webbing, and that looks identical to it, and the only mention of a Czech copy of 58 pattern I can find is a few eBay auctions oddly......
So winter is coming, and where I live, that means LOTS OF RAIN. I am debating weather I should get a gorka suit or just a Condor softshell jacket.
So winter is coming, and where I live, that means LOTS OF RAIN. I am debating weather I should get a gorka suit or just a Condor softshell jacket.
Get an ORC L6 Hardshell for ~$50
Could a M65 field jacket fit that role too? Winter is only few months from now in California
Theres 2 big ass marks on my prized 1911 that have stripped the paint off the front part, How would i go about painting over the marks, they arent too deep.
So winter is coming, and where I live, that means LOTS OF RAIN. You definitely want a hardshell or something of that nature if that's your main concern.
Just to throw this in there, if you're looking at the Level 5 PCUs (just because a lot of people do), keep in mind that despite the fact that the branding always says "water instantly beads and rolls off" or whatever, that they are NOT waterproof. Level 5's will keep a light rain off and keep you dry if you lay on wet ground, but they'll soak through in about ten minutes of heavy rain. That being said, they are a LOT warmer than they look and are excellent at keeping wind off of you. I wore mine with just a flannel and a thermal beneath for most of the winter last year and it was usually in the negatives here. Anyway, just figured I'd give my experience in case you were looking at an L5 because I know they're a common choice.
might get a new gun, probably an AKMS, AKM or AK-105 (i want an ak variant that is more maneuverable than my AK74 for CQB) should i get a CYMA or DBoys? from what i've heard for CYMA, it's the CM. 040 or 048M that i should get, not the 047 variants
VFC=LCT(more or less, very debatable)>E&L>>>>>Dbags -S/-WS/RK08>CYMA 40,45,48,50,52>Dbags full metal>CYMA everything else
I thought with LCT and E&L it was more of LCT does these things better but E&L does those things better, but it more or less comes out equal?
LCT is modern Inokatsu, though their NV line is moving more towards VFC/real-steel construction with less screws and a more realistic build. I can't speak for E&L since I've never personally owned one, but they appear to be based more around RealSword's Chinese style of AK just dressed up to look Russian. Red-Alliance can give you more information in that regard.

It was about my senior year when I realized it was too heavy for fall and too light for winter.
I used to freeze my ass off in my M65 in high school. It's a good early winter jacket for me, but once it starts getting close to freezing I break out my Berkut parka.
I'm still wearing shorts and a t shirt to school. California doesn't know how to winter
Looking at it now an M65 should be fine for me because the coldest it gets where I live is 40 degrees and some nights it gets up to freezing but in the daytime the coldest is around the low 50s high forty
Does anyone know if the HK417 fits a normal version 2 hop up? I can find out tomorrow, but I was just wondering if anyone knew off the top of their head.
i want to start a russian infantry loadout but i don't even know where to start as far as the gear goes
time period/be more specific on russian infantry (the guys in crimea/ukraine?)
I should find a loadout I like before they started using worthless digiflora and recreate that for airsoft. I've got so many kits I wanna do and no money or motivation to build them.
Anyone know of a custom sewing service that will modify a piece of gear to my specs? I'm looking for someone who can replace the nylon adjustment straps on my pack with webbing and sew them in place securely. I'm not sure how long the stuff that came on it will support my rig for.
this handguard should fit a dboys ak, right? http://www.opticsplanet.com/caa-ak47-picatinny-hand-guard-rails-system-lower-handguard.html
It might require some dremel work, mainly where the handguard meets the receiver, but I can't say for sure
