Thanks, I might as well get a real Czech helmet like the M52 [editline]2nd October 2014[/editline] [editline]2nd October 2014[/editline] I have another question, does anyone know what field jackets/parkas the military used in the 90's?
There are quite a few militaries that were around during the 90's, so you're going to have to be more specific, and as for your query about a helmet with a face shield, British riot police helmets are pretty common and relatively cheap. Or at least they are in the UK. Also you can get visors for the MK6 helmet.
Does anyone know where I can find a PASGT helmet with a visor like this: Want to make some type of CS:S loadout, and it would be great if it is BB proof.
These used to be all over any store selling cheap china shit, usually named something like "SWAT HELMET". Frankly I don't seem to be able to find them anywhere now.
to be fair they are probably the most likely company to make one
This is why I chose G&G to be honest. They seem to listen if there are enough people wanting something, I mean we got an AK5C from them after all. I understand how some people think though, what with the proprietary stuff & all & frankly I didnt know that they started with all those things nowadays. The AK5C turned out pretty good from what I know without too much of a hassle or proprietary parts. Besides, the AR-18 pretty much took standard AR magazines (IRL the locking slot on the magazine was on the other side but later models took regular AR mags), so if they screw that up I dont know what to believe anymore. But yeah, I see the points people are making.
the AK5C also had a glaringly wrong stock angle that made the entire gun look bent
Listening to requests doesn't mean jack if the final product is all fucked up.
Honestly you'll probably just have to wait until the AR-18 is featured in a Call of Duty game and the hordes of 12-year-olds know about it for the manufacturers to actually put in the effort and produce one.
ye AK5C came out more or less the same time buttfield 4 did
Whilst browsing for some decent goggles, I found that the ESS Advancer V12s are within my price range. Does anyone else have any experience/heard of them?
ye AK5C came out more or less the same time buttfield 4 did
yet still no CZ-805 even though it was in cawwa doody and buttfield

Visor's BB proof and surrounds the face but I'd wear some form of glasses underneath If I was you. [editline]4th October 2014[/editline] I know D-boys is piece'o'shit but are their fixed stocks any good? I mean, how can you fuck up a slab of plastic with rubber on the end.
ASG said after the scorpion
it makes me want the VHS-2 to be in a game so a company will consider making it
anyone know where i can get some gen2 or gen3 multicam combat pants with knee pads for super cheap? no crye or toy soldier, those are waaay too expensive for me.
emersons are cheap but decent for the price. the multicam is pretty accurate too, and you can fit real crye knee pads in 'em.
it makes me want the VHS-2 to be in a game so a company will consider making it
I can just imagine it being in a game: "why did they give the famiss a fake name?"
i need some internal upgrades on my raider, I'm going to get this barrel, and this spring. Other than that, I'm completely stumped. Any suggestions? I'm not comfortable opening up my gearbox myself, but I have people who can do it for me.
Big Dragon is generally a no-no, but for 12 bucks you won't really regret much I guess.

I'm buying my first gear for the first time ever and I'm completely lost. First of all I live in Slovenia and there are like 2 airsoft shops in the entire country. Now I have no idea what I need to look for in a gun, but for the looks I fancy myself an AK. So I looked up some replicas on the store pages but I have no idea where to find reviews, since they don't have a model # or anything. All It says is that it's a "CYMA AK 47 TACTICAL FULL METAL". Ok... but there are like 20 different models with that name, aren't there? There's some info about the internals but I'd rather find a review on a popular site. The second problem is the talk of downgrading a gun after buying or changing the internals in any way. I get a panic attack when I have to open a jar of pickles. I really don't want to mess with some expensive machinery especially when I have no idea what I'm doing. I need enlightenment.
Post a link to the gun. As for the downgrading bit, the only downgrade people commonly do is swapping the spring out for one that doesn't hit as hard. Do you intend on using the gun at a specific field? If so, then you'll need to check and see if they have an FPS limit.
Well the page is in Slovenian but that won't be a problem to translate. http://www.panter-airsoftshop.com/trgovina/cyma/cyma-ak-47-tactical-full-metal/101-1120 Translation of gun properties: Barrel length: 455mm Firing speed: 450fps Cap capacity: 600 bbs Package includes: • Replica • Battery 8,4V 1500 mAh • Battery charger • Vetical handle This is'n the only gun that I've found, so what I'm really looking for is an example of how to now take this information and find some reviews on this model. Is there a better way than just looking for the same name and characteristics and if I do that can I be sure that I'm even looking at the same model? Not sure if you know what I'm saying here... I might find a review for a CYMA tactical AK47 with a 450mm barrel and 450 fps speed, and read that it's a great gun, but in reality I might be looking at an entirely different product. That's my fear. And I don't want to buy a gun without some reassurance first, because as far as I've seen these motherfuckers are breaking like mad. Follow up question. Our field has a 450FPS limit. Is it safe to buy a 450FPS gun or should I look for something a bit lower (like maybe the gun will be doing 455 when I get it or something and I won't be allowed to play)?
Heading over to New Zealand to make use of relatively cheap airfares with my Dad to play airsoft for the first time, what do you think is the better area to start off? Indoors or on a field of some sort? Also will probably be looking for a decent gun (AEG preferably) that can last a while without being used.

Which is kinda alright, but you can get something better. Also better looking too, these are just ugly. Take a look at this: http://www.panter-airsoftshop.com/trgovina/jing-gong/jing-gong-g36c-c4/103-1189 JG G36's are great starters, even though this one is bastardized with this ugly AR stock and AR mag adapter - on the other hand, AR type magazines are easier to find and generally cheaper. If you'd prefer to stick to AK's anyway, you may go with this: http://www.panter-airsoftshop.com/trgovina/cyma/airsoft-pu%C5%A0ka-cyma-ak74/101-1321 It's most likely a CM047C, which is alright but still made of zinc alloy instead of steel, like the newer models. I'd recommend you to save some money to get at least this: http://www.panter-airsoftshop.com/trgovina/cyma/cyma-akm-47-full-metal-real-wood/101-1008 While I'm not 100% sure, I think it's a 048M which should mostly be made of steel and wood.
Hey thank you very much for taking the time to point out some of the other models. So I guess there are model names, but this site doesn't list them. I guess I'll look for reviews and such on other sites and then contact the shop owners and ask them if they have the item by model name. Also If anyone has the time, I'd gladly take more suggestions by you because I'll definitely end up picking something someone else suggested. So if nothing more comes it will probably be the CM.048M Thank you so much, so far!
Try contacting the store and asking for the exact model name to be 100% sure of what this is. Also figure out their returns policy, just in case.
What are the pros and cons of buying a Tanaka M700 vs a KJW M700?
What are the pros and cons of buying a Tanaka M700 vs a KJW M700?
Depends on your upgrade plans really. If you are gonna take the guts out and upgrade the shit out of it, there no reason to go with the more expensive Tanaka. But otherwise the stock KJW parts are going to have a generally shorter life and will probably have less consistent performance, plus the chance of getting a lemon. My KJW lasted a while but eventually died from parts wear.
I'm probably gonna buy the rifle, use it stock initially, and slowly upgrade it over time
I'm probably gonna buy the rifle, use it stock initially, and slowly upgrade it over time
un-upgraded it definitely doesnt have enough of a performance advantage over AEGs to be worth using IMO, like any other sniper rifle you really have to upgrade the shit out of it to make it effective. if you just want to be super sneaky in the woods you dont really need a sniper rifle, you can "snipe" in airsoft almost as effectively with an AEG
snip [editline]6th October 2014[/editline] I'd probably HPA tap it almost immediately, and one of the local fields has high FPS limits for bolt rifles, so hopefully all that plus heavy BBs can make a difference
A good barrel and hop with an HPA rigged bolt action can easily outgun 99% of AEGs. People will tell you all day that bolt actions aren't viable against AEGs, but a well tuned HPA rig will outrange just about any AEG and can be incredibly consistent and accurate if done right. I'd certainly encourage you to go with the Tanaka though. They can be found used on various forums for hella cheap, and from there it's really just a matter of HPA tapping it, installing a new hop setup/barrel, and tuning the shit out of it. But Timebomb is definitely right about the parts, in my experience KJW rifles are going to wear down a hell of a lot quicker, so if you're looking to dump some cash into making it a good rifle, you may want to go with the Tanaka for longevity's sake alone.
