My vest arrived in the mail today. It has these two plastic snap hooks on the back. Any idea what they are for? [t]http://s009.radikal.ru/i310/1410/a2/3797d7cb95d8.jpg[/t] [editline]1[/editline] As in, what gear would make sense if it were to be hooked on these?
I saw that, just wondering if it was actually any good or not
Probably doesn't make much of a difference.
The Portuguese Air Force had an M81 copy called m/997 (I think it's called that anyway). Not sure how different to standard M81 though. [t]http://i.imgur.com/k2f2eQc.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/sB62opx.jpg[/t]
Thanks, I now have a more general idea on what to get, might get a copy from any of these countries Iran, Bosnia, Pakistan, China, or Armenia. They all have some interesting variants, or at least in my opinion.
If you're so concerned with differentiating yourself from the others, why not just use completely different patterns?
The reason is I want to stay to what I'm portraying, and most of the patterns I can find are too common. Might go with a French Lizard reproduction if I can't find a woodland copy. I also have a strange liking for collecting military items from other countries both for airsoft and for the fun of it.
If you can find foreign copies of M81, you can probably find foreign patterns as well.
Already tried that and couldn't find anything, spotted some Lizard repros on Ebay and another site but only has the top of the uniform.
If you really want rare stuff that badly, just wait. Check ebay regularly, look at places that sell milsurp, and just be patient. There's not good for sale 24/7. Something you want will turn up eventually.
-snipperino, shitty idea-
if you're going for anything close to an impression this is going to be about as accurate as getting m81 and an asgi custom and calling it us army the aug is shit, hicaps are shit, the sight is overpriced and doesn't look military at all, someone here will probably say something about the rig

I went with Auscam because it was the closest you'd get to what the Military uses without paying a shit ton (Actually, I don't think you can buy AMP). It also goes well with the area I'd be playing in most likely. I had some weird feelings about that sight so I'll look into changing it. Wasn't too sure on hicaps as well, because having to wind mags on a bullpup sounds painful. Also realised I didn't include face/eye pro or footware. Again though, thanks for the input, I'll look into changing it up a bit.
So yeah, I put together this and while they're are some things wrong with it like Auscam and Multicam (Couldn't find a vest that was in Auscam and wasn't flat out insanely priced) and there's the fact that USP is in use from Special Forces only, but I'll probably not end up buying the USP for a while and might just go for something cheaper. Australian Army APS New Gen Kompetitor Advanced AUG KU CIV Airsoft AEG Rifle - $140.00 H&K Umarex Full Metal USP Full Size NS2 GBB by KWA - $149.99 Auscam Long Sleeve Shirt - $29.95 Auscam Trousers - $39.95 Velcro Auscam Baseball Hat – $4.99 Aim Spec 1.5X Red Dot Sight Scope - $65.00 Condor Modular Chest Platform Vest (Multicam) - $81.95 AUG 330rd Hicap Mag for Marui/E1/JG/CA Aug Series Box set of 5 – $65.00 Total: $576.83, w/o pistol $426.84 Doesn't include shipping and the products that aren't clothing are from Evike and made in like, 30 min. Also, I won't be buying this straight up after getting into airsoft. Reason why I went for the Civ version of the AUG is for rails as well.
Although I love the kwa usp gbb, you can get a CO2 non blowback for about a third of the price. It's also a decent gun, I've used it. But I wouldn't but one or use it over my gbb

Once I get the time and can be bothered to actually look around more I'll work on reworking the kit or just making a completely different styled one altogether. I really appreciate your input, guys. It all helps even in the smallest bits :)
You guys think an Emerson JPC in decent condition would be worth about 15 bucks? I may or may not have an opportunity.
For that price I guess it's reasonable
the aug is shit, hicaps are shit
Can confirm. Was in woodland and had a guy dive next to me onto his rifle and it just fucking cracked. Turned out it was an APS AUG.
A few of us from the office are going airsofting next month, so I'm looking at buying guns. Two toning it up like a bunch of newbs.
hi garry. what sort of guns were you looking into? we can help you pick good ones. either lets us know what style of guns you are interested in, price, or both.
What price range are you looking at per gun?
hi garry. what sort of guns were you looking into? we can help you pick good ones. either lets us know what style of guns you are interested in, price, or both.
I wanted to get a rifle and a pistol. Ideally not plastic. Rifle I want a G36 with a folding stock. Pistol I want a Beretta M9, gas powered, blowback. Price range is pretty elastic depending on what's what.
well, the JG G36 is one of the best starter guns available and also pretty cheap to boot. Ive had one for a few years now, and it lasted quite a while in its stock form. Externally it has held up very well. I dont know any UK retailers off hand, so a britbong will have to link them for you. as for m9s, I believe the KWA ptp is quite good? im not positive on that, ive never been into m9s myself. all i know about them is that the WE m9 is utter shit.
I have an older KWA M9 PTP and it's fantastic. The JG G36c (and every other one out there) is plastic, because the real one is plastic. Although, the plastic on my JG G36c is pretty sturdy and it is definitely worth it for the money. I love how the G36c handles too.
i can also highly recommend the JG36 the KJW M9 is also bretty gud, cheaper, and easier to find replacement parts for though quality suffers a bit compared to the KWA/KSC
I think the new model of the WE M9 is based on the new TM model too. So it might be better than the older model. But I don't know for sure, if someone could confirm or tell me I'm wrong
i shot some kid's black lagoon we m9 last year(?) and the kick was pretty nice idk how it turned out in the long run tho
WE is in fact releasing a new version M9, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was on par with their other modern designs. The old version WE M9 is still the shittiest though.
The new TM M9A1 is a big improvement on their old M9's, and WE already cloned it: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/pistols-gbb-smgs/we/we-m9a1-gbb-new-version-black.html#.VEBTlPldVRg TM version: http://echigoya-guns.com/guns/index.php?route=product/product&path=51&product_id=506 [editline]16th October 2014[/editline] So anything labeled "M9" or "M92FS" is gonna be the older design(except KWA, which was already mentioned) and probably pretty bad(KJW is the notable exception) The M9A1 is the new system and I believe TM and WE are the only companies that have one out
Why are people suggesting Garry gets a JG gun? Last I checked, he had two hit games released that landed him a few bob? If you want a good gun that will last forever and you don't mind spending a few extra quid; http://www.wolfarmouries.co.uk/airsoft/bb/product.asp?page=product&id=G36KRECOILTM Tokyo Marui, excellent build quality You will need this to make it two tone; http://www.wolfarmouries.co.uk/airsoft/bb/product.asp?page=product&id=PAINTRIF If you do however chose to go down the JG route, these are the ones available in the UK; http://www.airsoftworld.net/airsoft-guns/airsoft-bb-gun-type/airsoft-bb-gun-rifles/airsoft-bb-gun-modern-rifles/jg-g36c-assault-rifle-g608.html http://www.airsoftworld.net/airsoft-guns/airsoft-bb-gun-type/airsoft-bb-gun-rifles/airsoft-bb-gun-modern-rifles/jg-g36c-assault-rifle-g608-5228.html http://www.airsoftworld.net/airsoft-guns/airsoft-bb-gun-type/airsoft-bb-gun-rifles/airsoft-bb-gun-modern-rifles/jg-g36ke-airsoft-assault-rifle-g608-3.html http://www.airsoftworld.net/airsoft-guns/airsoft-bb-gun-type/airsoft-bb-gun-rifles/airsoft-bb-gun-modern-rifles/jg-g36ke-airsoft-assault-rifle-g608-3.html http://www.airsoftworld.net/airsoft-guns/airsoft-bb-gun-type/airsoft-bb-gun-rifles/airsoft-bb-gun-modern-rifles/jg-g36-airsoft-assault-rifle-g608-4.html There is a drop down menu that will ask if you require it to be painted in UKARA colours. Somehow I've managed to lose this screw for my PSO-1: [T]http://i.imgur.com/PR9BuiE.jpg[/T] I'm guessing I'm retarded since I can't find anything relevant on google and kalinka got some screws but not that one. Any ideas?
