Used to have a Hexagon Galil, can confirm. I have never before held a rifle/carbine of that size as solid and heavy as that sumbitch. Unfortunately the guy I sold it to hasn't answered my PMs in almost a year now so I doubt I'll ever get it back :(
Would one of these fit a VFC style AK?

They should. They appear to have the cut-out for the handguard retainer's sling mount, which is something I had to modify on the set I tried to mount on my old AKS-74N. I can't see you having to do anything more than a little bit of filing to get those to mount.
Can confirm. Bought that exact set for my AKM and yes, i had to do a little bit of dremeling to get it to fit but it wasn't anything crazy
Going to buy floor gun rack, anyone know a good one to buy or just fuck it buy any

I'd just build one with some 2x4's and dowel rods to the size of your space.

Sounds like a 1-2 hour job, whereas i make enough to just buy one in that timeframe. One of those how do i value my time and splinters all over my hands.
True, but you'd learn something in the process.
But also I totally get budgeting your time for this kind of thing.

or even 1x4's since they're smaller and would probably look better in the long run.
You could buy a set of second-hand shelves and make a gun rack out of them like I did.

Though i'm sure gun racks are an easy enough thing to just buy from a store in the US if you really don't want to make one.

yeah in the U.S we have buy a pack of starburst get a free gun rack
In Sweden, gun hangers and the such cost around 300 or more dollars because there's like zero demand for them because you need to keep your guns in a safe.
Makes me sad because I want all my pretty toys on display.
I cracked the lower on my m4, its relatively small, but noticable. Should I replace it now, or should i wait until after the 24hr OP this weekend?
What are some great boots? I have Belleville Tactical Research Kiowas and I like the low-profile design. Unfortunately they're really tight and stiff across the front of my foot where the laces are and I'm looking for something more comfortable, probably a mid to 6" boot rather than a full 8" (though not ruling it out) with good ventilation, and not waterproofing.
I bought some Merrell Sawtooths and they were chunky as heck, but I inevitably sold them because they were a half size too small for me.

These Bates GX-8's look pretty spiffy. I'd be concerned that they'd get super hot in the summer though...
Merrell Sawtooths were too chunky for you? You're going to be hard pressed to find something lighter in a mid-full cut.
Sorry if this the wrong thread but My computer should be getting shipped back to me soon and I'm curious what the name of the IFAP steam group is.

I was eyeballing the 5.11 tac-lite boots, they look pretty nice...
Well maybe they weren't too chunky
HE'S FLIPFLOPPING
I think the whole half size too small thing killed it for me and made me hate em. They were pretty badass looks-wise and I appreciated the metal quicklace hooks.
Okay. So plug a battery in. Pull the trigger. Nothing happens.
Wires get hot. Any ideas?
does the gb make any noise at all? a click? does the motor try to turn?
I got it. The motor height was not adjusted correctly but I had to take the motor out and put it all back together until things started to work right. I guess I remembered more than I thought I would.

Does anyone know the 'correct' patch setup for US infantry in the 80s/90s? I've seen guys with no patches at all, subdued division patches, and the full-color US flag patches, but i'm not sure exactly what the right way to wear them is. Does the US flag go on the right shoulder and the unit patch go on the left shoulder?
And in what situation or what units do they just wear no patches at all? I originally thought it was an 'army wear patches, marines don't' thing, but I've seen pictures of army guys without patches so that kind of ruins that theory.
What would you guys say is the all around "best" site for buying? Until now I've used Airsoftmegastore (cancer.exe), but eh their selection is kinda limited and their sales are annoying at best. (25% entire order but they also make like, 3/4ths the store on sale for a tiny amount less so the deal isn't valid on most stuff.)
I typically go with eHobbyAsia or WGCShop (WGC is where I just got my most recent order with the parts for my VFC AKS-74UN from). There's also UNcompany and DENTrinity.
To be honest there really isn't anywhere in the US that I shop anymore. Most US retailers have shit for selection and their prices aren't much better than Hong Kong dealers; personally, 9 times out of 10 I'd rather pay a few bucks more and buy from overseas in order to get trademarks that don't involve Cybershit or Umarex (and their barf-inducing massive walls of white text). The only exceptions to this would be Fox Airsoft if I wanted an LCT, or AirsoftGI since they carry E&L's.
I accidentally left a 9.6 nihm in my 416 for 3 weeks. Am I dead?

TMC blows, flyye is modeled after 6094b so it's a large. Toysoldier is $95 on their website for a CB one and yeah for that money you could get a used legit apc or jpc.
Anybody know if any of the GBB MP5Ks are any good? I'm thinking about selling my WOC and buying one, then trying to retrofit the front end from an AEG MP5SD to it and attaching an AR stock. I need something more lightweight to go with my new kit.

I've heard that the Maruzen blows up, and that the WE is okay. I wouldn't consider the WELL.

I've heard that the WE and VFC (surprisingly) are good. WELL is shit and Maruzen is good, but you cant use green gas in it because its too powerful.
I like the VFC one a lot, but I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about it.
I remember doing research into the VFC one a while ago and IIRC the only issue people had were the bolt stops on the magazines not being very sturdy, but they are cheap to replace and the gun doesnt need them to function. Maybe more issues have popped up since I read up about them.
