i think the next step is to throw it in the direction of the enemy
Great idea, I'll keep that in mind for the next game.
Great idea, I'll keep that in mind for the next game.
CALL YOUR FUCKING HITS, then throw a mag at the guy. Echo 1 Steel ones
I tend to either put mags back in the pouch or if it's urgent I just drop (or place them on the ground if I don't feel like having my gas mags explode) then pick them up when I move/if I get hit. The elite force stanag Midcaps I have are built like hockey pucks though, so I'm not worried about them breaking. Same with the mp5 mags. I did quite a few speed reloads when I had that ics mp5 and used it at the quib place near where herf lived. Same when I used the mp5k.
Eygs, do this next game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEEEy1dMceI

I was so disappointed that there wasn't a hit marker in the replay.
On a scale of 1-10, how bad of an idea is it to import one of those TMC dummy grenades (such as flashbangs or an AN/M14), they are hollow but I know that customs confiscates whatever they want Edit: some of them are plastic, would that be ok in your opinions going through customs?
How much should I expect to pay for a Spectre DR sight?
How much should I expect to pay for a Spectre DR sight?
$150-$200, apparently the 1-4x is rubbish, get the fixed 4x
The 1-4x I have is great in 4x, but in 1x the lever has some play in it so it is never aiming straight.
I'm thinking of just asking my parents to surprise me by asking for a general family (e.g Ak/M4/SCAR etc) for Christmas then giving them a list of good manufacturers. I'm pretty sure I can add VFC, G&P, and G&G to that list. Cyma late models are good but I don't want my parents having to go check numbers, they'll get confused and give up. Any other brands I should add?
LCT and E&L, RealSword.
I want to buy myself a madbull mk18 rail for christmas, I have seen the tan one in person and its really orange and shiny. Can anyone give me any ideas to dull the color down. I'm really bad with paint so I want to know what kind and how to apply it well enough to the RIS
Check the pics of my Mk18 in the BST thread. That's a brand new rail. Just used rustoleum camo tan, and then wiped it off before it was fully dry using a loose knit rag.

It's a lot darker and duller and not agent orange. I actually used to have one but I sold it to a friend.
Mine is more of a brown color - I think it's one of the newer ones. I don't see much of the reddish orange others have in any lighting. If yours is going to be like mine it'll be fine, mine's all brown really.
$150-$200, apparently the 1-4x is rubbish, get the fixed 4x
I spoke to a retailer about this earlier in the year and about whether 1-4x lost its zeroing much; you're right - it does. However, they did also day G&G were working on a newer version that fixes this issue. I've not seen any sign of that yet though. If one's got the $150 for a variable zoom one, then there are much better optics that you can throw your money at.
Hey guys my dad needs to find a starter gun for my little sister to use, Keep in mind she has trouble holding my polymer xcr-c for more than 10 seconds, So it should be lightweight.
Galaxy MP5K springs to mind, that is if you can find one.
I found one on airsfotdepot but they are out of stock we are considering a Pdw/Smg type of primary for her. [editline]5th December 2014[/editline] http://www.torontoairsoft.com/CYMA-Metal-Body-MP5K-PDW_p_3885.html how would this be?
Galaxy MP5K springs to mind, that is if you can find one.
While tiny, the Galaxy's are surprisingly hefty for their size and are almost certainly heavier than the Poly XCR-C. Also, while not a whole lot of work needs to be done to the Galaxy, I wouldn't consider them to be starter guns when you need .3g ammo and to run them decently. I think I'd recommend a Combat Machine M4 or JG G36c, backed up by polymer/plastic midcaps for maximum lightweight.

Ever since I have started airsoft, I haven't been able to figure out how to run a sling over a plate carrier. Please enlighten me. I currently run a no name 1 point but this Christmas I might buy myself a real steel sling
I don't know if this was asked but basically, I've been into airsoft for about 6-7 months now and I play alot like a support guy (laying down massive cover/suppressive fire and guarding areas/objectives) and my current weapon, which is an M14, isn't really fit for the job magazine wise. I was thinking of buying an lmg as my next main weapon but a good friend of mine who've been playing for years with one don't recommend them because of maintenance/reliability issues he had. I was wondering what would be your opinion on the matter and if you have recommendations.

M249 box mags are also known to suck. If you don't want to do any modifications the G&P Stoner 63 works very well OOTB, in addition to being very lightweight, for an easy transition from being a rifleman

Thanks alot!
Alright, writing all that down. Thanks alot!
We also have 2-3 dedicated machine gunners here, and they can give you TONS of advice about choosing a gun, upgrading a gun, maintaining a gun, and how to properly play with an LMG. In addition to the Stoner, I'd also recommend the A&K PKM and the A&K M60 series.
The Stoner is great source: me, who has witnessed the ass-devastation that it can bring
You can also get RPK's with long or drum magazines
