I'm not really sure which pistols I like. I quite like how the USP match and the Hi-capa look, yet something feels a bit bland about the hi-capa.
I've ditched my dream of having a USP match mostly because one one store sells them in Canada and magazines are $60 each (the gun is $200), [editline]14th May 2013[/editline] Still, KJW M9 good? Canada is anti-mauri or some shit, only store that sells them has hella marked up prices
Currently got this in my sights: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Gas_Pistols_SMGs_Tokyo_Marui_Tokyo_Marui_P226.htm Is it good? I mean, TMs are probably good no matter which gun it is, but is the gun itself a good choice? Watched a few reviews, the only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a metal slide, thus less kickback.

Marui pistols are always my number 1 recommendation, and all you'd need to keep it running forever is some more magazines and a little bit of 100% silicone lubricant.
plastic guns actually have a fairly decent amount of kick the logic behind this being that they're half the weight of metal guns, so it's going to be a lot easier to feel the recoil
Oh god... A friend of mine has a Matrix MP-40, 6 mags, and some ATF German mag pouches for them. He's trying to trade it off to me, but are they even worth using as airsoft guns? I really wanted it just for display, but hey, if it is a decent gun why not airsoft with it. I think Felix had one iirc
I heard the KJW P226 mags fit the TM P226 perfectly while being $15 cheaper. Do they really work?
KJW P226 mags are the worst mags.
Alright, then I'll just stick with one extra TM.

The only downside was that it uses medium motors and the proprietary GB shell is not of the utmost quality. If you have time, money and knowhow you can make it into a p. sweet gun. First thing you have to do, looks-wise, is remove the fire selector, fill the hole and refinish the side panels and grips. After that dunk all the metal parts into some chemical paint stripper and refinish it in Birchwood Casey cold-blu and aluminum black. Performance-wise, you need to follow this guide for the hop up, get a new motor and then just normal GB tune up/any other upgrades you feel necessary and all that jazz

So, I can't decide between an M14 and an M16A3, but I'm thinking of wasting my money and buying a new stock for my spray-painted clearsoft, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to mount it, as the buffer tube is built in, and looks like this. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/77395476/2013-05-14%2018.51.01.jpg[/t] Do you think I could mount a new stock? [editline]14th May 2013[/editline] Wouldn't care if it moved or not, but that 3/4 full is bothering me.
why would you buy anything for a clearsoft you technically could but you'd need a buffer tube and an endplate
After about 30 seconds of thought, I realized that I'm an idiot. I still need to decide between the M14 and 'A3 though.
a quality M16a3 will be cheaper than a quality M14.
Anyway, my question is face protection. I've got proper goggles but I am wondering on wether it is worth investing in some form of face protection. I've been hit around my face a couple of times and while it was sore it wasn't exactly mind-blowingly painful, but at the same time the most painful gun I've gone against is a 400 FPS spring sniper. Any thoughts on face pro? Edit : As in, is something I am desperately going to want and if so, what sort?
Get one of these: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_744&products_id=33666 (can also find cheaper on ebay). Or a shemagh for a little less protection but good nonetheless.
owning one of those, i despise it and wish i had a http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_744&products_id=33217 instead can't really complain though got it for free
these are really nice http://www.acmgear.com/shadow-gen3-c-230_270.html i have one and its over a year old and its doing great besides some tiny bits of rust where the wires intersect in some spots thats probably because when I played in 10 degree weather in january i was panting on it so heavily that it got covered in condensation and began to freeze
Any suggestions for a pistol holster (gun I'm getting is a KJW M9)? Preferably one I can put on my belt + OD
For an M9 I'd suggest the Bianchi M12 holster
Hey again guys. Not really posted here for a while since I kinda dropped out of airsoft, but I'm back again. Basically, the deal is that I should be getting a car at some point in the next 6 Months which will enable me to go to proper fields in Scotland - right now I have fleck tarn and webbing that I bought off of Inafinus that should do me for the time being, and I'm planning on getting a JG G36C as I don't have any gun anymore. I know they're not exactly great but I reckon it should keep be going for a while, at least. Anyway, my question is face protection. Edit : As in, is something I am desperately going to want and if so, what sort?
I just wear a Shemagh around my neck, then when I get into a situation where im highly likely to get shot at close range I just pull it over my mouth so I dont get my teeth knocked out.
KJW P226 mags are the worst mags.
Where'd you get that idea? I have a KJW and an HFC mag, the KJW has worse gas use (it can hold 20 rounds but reliably fire only around 15), but isn't in two parts like the HFC and Marui and can take quite a beating. My HFC's mag lip broke whereas the KJW is still running fine. Honestly speaking though, I think that if you're going for low price P226 mags, the HFC mags are a better choice, they're not quite as durable as the KJW mags, but they're cheaper, have a better gas performance (but hold only 15 rounds) and have a prettier finish.

I don't know about that, I know that the M9 and P226 have average gas use (one fill per mag), but my P226 mag works just fine and is quite durable.
What would have more effect on range? A tighter barrel or better hop up bucking? (I know both, ideally, but I can only afford one)
bucking. tightbore barrels actually have very little effect on range, more so on velocity
Holsters, I've been thinking about getting one rigged on a vest around the chest area. Experiences or arguments why I should or shouldn't? Primairy will be worn via sling.
So if i was planning to make this thing in airsoft form, what parts would i need? I'm thinking A1 grip, LE style stock, 10.5 inch barrel, no idea about the front handguard. Could MAYBE use an MOE grip and stick some rails to the side, but I'm not sure. I know the type of front sight i could use, but not the name of it.
KJW P226 mags are the worst mags.
bought four KJW P226 mags about a week later, they start to spring leaks no survivors
