Apparently the new generation TRI Comtac repros are great but I don't own them and I can't find a lot of info on them.

That's not a bad price for one of those either. Might have to get one. What do you guys use for headset comms?

Ztac swimmer, but the only thing worth buying in that middle area is real single-com Sordins. I don't know where they fell under ITAR since they're not exclusively mil equipment. In the states I can find them for $140 shipped every day, down to $80 if I find people. If you can find them and are willing to spend the money, that's definitely your best bet in the middle.

I used to use ztac comtacs with a ztac ptt and a Baofeng UV5r. I'm currently using a Baofeng handmic/earpiece until I get a new headset because the ztac ptt needed to be assrammed into the radio with a truck.

I'm tempted to get real ones but I still can't justify it atm, I don't airsoft as much as I used to. I have a UV-5R with a nice PTT, but I don't think either of my headsets work anymore. I had a swimmer one that I wasn't a huge fan of and the comtacs that dont seem to work anymore. Now that I think about it I wonder if it's an issue elsewhere since neither of my headsets work

If you're buying active protection type headsets, get a real one. It's worth the money to actually be able to hear what's going on around you correctly and not have them break after two games.

What zao said, I was actually looking at sordins earlier and found a bunch for 150ish. You can find comtacs for sale used for good prices too.

So I got this PP-19 bizon and I noticed the side mounting point for the optics is a bit lower on the receiver when compared to my AKS-74U. The kobra reproduction I have won't fit on it, it hits the top cover. Pretty sure it sits higher, how much higher I'm not sure but I have two of them so I can take some measurements if you want.

From the top dovetail groove to the bottom of where the RIS mounts is approx 55mm's or 2.1in.

Anyone heard anything about the TMC Haley D3 replica? I want a nice light chest rig and the Haley seems to be one of the best in terms of setup but I cant justify buying a real Haley D3 for airsoft.
