The hammer spring can be cut to any smaller length, so you can drop the fps to whatever you want, but its pretty irreversible unless you can find a spare. The trick is just to cut a tiny bit at a time, and then retest it.
I've thought about doing it to mine, but I've got enough CQB pistols as is. That said, they're very fun guns, great for messing around with while you do boring shit around the house.
how would I go about fixing a gearbox that does full auto only?
*Snip, i still cannot read*
My Galaxy MP5k came in. :D
Hot Import Toys sent me a bag of "MetalTac Competition Grade BB's"
They look to be of good quality, anyone know for sure?
And, how long should I charge this 8.4v on the shitty wall charger it came with?
Last, is there anything I should spray with silicone oil?

sounds like a tappet plate issue
You mean selector plate?
yea, you right.
just woke up. All plates look the same to me anyway
How's easy is it to install a motor on a M4 AEG?
How's easy is it to install a motor on a M4 AEG?
depends on if the motor has soldered connector or has plugs. With plugs, it is just about as easy as a barrel swap.
Guy at my airsoft sites is selling G&G combat machine and it needs a motor to get it working. Do I need to disassemble the gearbox to install the motor or do I just need to take the pistol grip off? I've never taken apart an AEG before so I'm a bit apprehensive and I don't want to screw it up.
Just the pistol grip off. It doesn't even need to come off. Only the heat sink.
The heat sink is the small metal plate at the bottom of the pistol grip isn't it?
Yes.
yes. You would unscrew that, pop it off, put the new motor in, plug it into the connectors, then screw the heatsink back on. Then adjust the motor height and you're good to go!
motor swap on an m4 is possibly the easiest upgrade to do

I fixed my own problem for once.
HUGE problem that I really need help with.
My battery won't plug into my MP5k, the connector is right, but it wont connect, like something is blocking it.
I think the prongs or plugs might not be flush so I can't get it in.
What the hell should I do?
tamiya plugs can move around when the wiring moves. spin the plugs to a different angle and try again. the prongs are literally just loose.
Snip, I'm dumb.
I didn't realize hicaps just stacked BBs ontop of each other to feed.
But, recommend me some MP5 midcaps that'll fit?
mp5 hicaps are bad
My MP5 hicap killed my family and raped my dog
And then it broke.
Yes, they are.
Will a Galaxy MP5k fit most other MP5 mags?

I *think* so
mag mp5 mid caps are great. pack of five for $35 from asgi
King Arms are my favorite MP5 mags, but they're more expensive than MAG.
cyma shorty mids work perfectly in my galaxy
Now uh, how should I carry all these MP5 mags?
I currently just use a leg rig, should I get like a triple MP5 mag pouch and mount it directly to the belt, or save and get a MOLLE vest?
Or, I could get those CYMA short mags, and put them in my handgun mag pouches.
What do?
buy smart charger and better battery 1st
I will most likely try and acquire it all for my Birthday next month.
Any recommendations on batteries or smart chargers?
it would be great if you went lipo and got some 7.4s and a nice charger
