You know there was an airsoft quad-shot bullpup 500, and it's what TM based their tri-shots on, right?
WHAT
This. It's got great gas consumption and pretty good cool down, and after you replace the hopup, it shoots rather well. It also shoots sub 400fps out of the box, which means you dont need to lower it to use it at some fields. HOWEVER the aforementioned hopup is godawful stock. It will work for a while, but the design is dumb and the arm is made out of brass, which WILL bend out of shape and fuck up the hopup. I would reccomend the RA-Tech steel hopup arm and Maple Leaf bucking, which are only about $25.
I'll look into how much it'll all cost me and such then I'll consider it. But thank you guys very much for the information. <3

There's a quadshot design that wasn't really modeled after any real gun AFAIK but it was manufactured by a Japanese toy company and used a hopper design.

It's based on the Mossberg bullpup. Hopper-fed (the BBs are stored in the carry handle), fires four per shot. Made by KHC a loooooong time ago, now impossible to find.
There's always one at the UKAPU (United Kingdom Airsoft Players Union) stall at one of the yearly shows i go to. I had the chance to play around with it one time i went. They're awesome, but kind of fragile by now.
I think someone managed to break it internally trying to pump it last year, sadly.

Yep, thats the one. When I thought of manufacturer I got confused with the Toytec Calico for some reason. They guy who runs Dangerwerx has a friend who has a lot of classic airsoft guns including this one. Also has a Smokeys 8mm NBB M81 and one of three Escort SVDs.

IIRC, the body and bolt are shit but once you replace them they're great.
What's the average and max distance you guys travel for events?
Does anyone here have experience with getting groups or whatever started in an area with no airsoft scene?

Average for me is an hour, but I've driven 10 hours to major events on more than one occasion.
Really, if I have the time and money, I'm not opposed to traveling any distance to an event, provided there's a damn good reason for me to want to go.

I travel an avg. of an hour and a half to two hours to get to the field I go to.
To people in the UK, can someone please tell me how to get a UKARA license? I have no clue what you have to do to get one! Any help is appreciated.

"You can get UKARA registered from any of the registered skirmish sites you go to if you’re over 18 and have played there for at least 3 times in two months. There are varying airsoft laws in Europe and Asia, if you're unable to find any concrete laws by searching around then I strongly suggest you contact your local police station or government representative to ask about it. Liaising with local law enforcement when airsofting in a less than ideal or completely private location can save you a lot of grief in the long run."

Couple of questions about the new stuff I bought.
1) What kind of flash hider/barrel extension is this? Will it amplify sound like a Noveske (what I ordered originally, this is what they sent in its place)?

2) What kind of sling system is this and how do I use it? Seems really complicated.

1. pws diablo compensator, no it won't
2. three-point, i got the same one (without the extra shit) with my dboys scarl

I think the PWS looks really ugly so I'm probably going to trade/sell it when I get back to Hawaii. Guess I can use the sling but I really wanted the bungee kind. Thanks anyways.

Wait I checked online and most places say the PWS does amplify sound. Huh. Does a non-amplifying replica exist?
I absolutely hate 3 points, most people do too. 1 or 2 point bungees are the best, my Condor 1 point bungee has treated me well since I first started playing.

I've used a non-bungee 2-point sling and am currently using my 3-point in a 2-point setup and I've never had any problems with it. My old sling broke because it came free with my $15 gun bag.
i like my three point.....
i mean it's a one point when i want it to be, but then i can also attach it to the front and then i can throw the gun on my back for maximum hands free
3 points are too much for me. Favorite sling type is definitely a bungie two point that can be converted into a 1 point. Any time you're in action, having a one point is often the best for a primary weapon, but a two point is pretty much all you need for when you're sitting around or hiking to an area.
Bungie slings are definitely better than a standard sling 100% of the time imo.
I use a Magpul MS3 sling in 1pt and 2pt mode for most of my guns.
For my longer rifles or heavy weapons, such as my SR25, M249, RPK, I'll use my 3pt sling just so I don't wear my arms out from carrying them all day.

So you can only get two-toned guns if you're under 18?
I was watching a video of a local airsoft site and there is an under 18 using a normal coloured gun.

How?
And I know he is under 18 because he speaks to the cameraman at one point in the video. And also I know people with normal coloured guns who are younger than me.

I'm 16 and very new to airsoft btw (if you hadn't already guessed).
It's all about the BLACKHAWK! Universal Swift sling. Love this 3 point on my real steel M4.

you can get ukara approved people to buy them and give them to you iirc

Yeah you only need UKARA to purchase RIFs. Kids get their parents to buy guns for them all the time. Also obviously that kid could've been using a rental weapon. Every UKARA registered skirmish site will allow you to rent a weapon for the day.
Ok, the site near me is UKARA licensed, so I should be able to hire one for a bit. Thanks for the help everyone!
Where can I find one of these?
