The Official Questions Thread Version: "Charlies in the trees, what do I need to get rid of them?"

Oh okay I though I broke something. I'm only attaching the flash hider instead of the barrel extension there anyways.
Some Teflon tape on the threads will usually effectively decrease wobble.
Are Elcan Spectres any good? I know a guy selling a 1-4x one for £130, and Im thinking of getting it.
only get an adjustable zoom if it's g&g

Yeah its the G&G one. May just have to take it off his hands then.
Some Teflon tape on the threads will usually effectively decrease wobble.
It's not wobbling on the threaded part, the whole cylinder thing is wobbling down to the base plastic. Here's a video.

This isn't too big of a deal but if this can be fixed somehow then that would be great. I mean, I can just squeeze some superglue or something in the little area around it but I don't know if that would affect future takedownability.
Is it true that G&P receivers/barrels/RIS or whatever are slightly proprietary? If so, how exactly are they proprietary?

What's the inner barrel length for an M4 with a 16" outer barrel?
[editline]9th July 2013[/editline]
I'm planning on buying a new receiver/barrel/ris set for my 416, but I'm gonna hold on to the old ones too:

so like
the G&G Kar98's kind of expensive. I might settle for a DBoys one and see what I can do about the accuracy
talk me out of it

*dboys 98 until i have money for the G&G

It's a colossal piece of shit with nonexistent accuracy (three-piece barrel, wat) and has no practicality whatsoever. It can't feed worth a damn and the shells are expensive.
Also for the price of one you could get a real Mosin-Nagant.

It would actually be a challenge to find a worse gun than the D-Boys K98K. Also, every $ you spend on it is not going into the G&G.
I worked out a trade for a boneyard CA SCAR-L for the Dboys 98.
Going to save every penny for the G&G :)
[editline]10th July 2013[/editline]
the guy said he was only interested in prop guns, since he knows the 98 isn't skirmishable so it's all good
iirc the G&G one isn't that great either.
Not consistent, mediocre acc. and has a couple of problems with its CO2 cartriges.
why don't manufacturers just make VSR-10 compatible WWII guns :C
you can mod a VSR-10 to look like a K98

ughhhhh it's so much work though
So this has probably already come up, but I have a combat machine that won't feed unless I hold the mag pushed towards the barrel, is this a magwell problem or the actual mags?
Could be either, but wrap tape around the top of your mags until they fit snug and don't need to be pushed in.
so I ordered a spring from Clandestine Airsoft as well as a smart charger/spare hicap from Airsoft Megastore at the same time. the spring was shipped via USPS but I never was able to track my package for the smart charger/mag. I've been tracking the spring via USPS and it was delivered today with the proper time according to the tracking page -- when I opened the package, though, it had the smart charger and spare mag in it (what???)
I haven't received my spring yet even though it says it was delivered, so I'm worried as to what I should do
Perhaps you simply mixed up the tracking numbers. Hm. I don't know.
nope. the email explicitly stated that it was in regards to Clandestine Airsoft. I never got a tracking number from airsoft megashit
if it doesnt come in the next few days, email him. hes super cool and will more than likely ship one out for you for free.
Yeah, I think Ben is his name, I love clandestine and do all of my internal business with him if he has them in stock. $2 shipping awww yisss
got my spring
id snip that pic if u were you

Does anyone here know anything about tanker boots?
[img_Thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/05/Tanker_boots.jpg[/img_Thumb]
I know they were used in WW1 and are used today so i would assume some would be right for an 80s/90s tanker loadout but i have no idea what type to look for.
And are the Rothco jungle boots actually any good? I remember hearing somewhere that the genuine USGI ones are uncomfortable as fuck but can't recall what was said about the Rothco ones.
Is it true that G&P receivers/barrels/RIS or whatever are slightly proprietary? If so, how exactly are they proprietary?
Their barrels are proprietary, its hard to explain but where M4 barrels flare out and have that lip around the end. G&P dont, its the same diameter all the way to the end, you place the barrel into the gun then slide this plastic tube like washer over the barrel which has a lip on the bottom, which fills the role of the lip that would normally be built into the barrel.
I would get pictures to help explain what the fuck I'm talking about but I dont feel like pulling my gun apart right now.
But I'm sure normal M4 barrels still fit their receivers.
So if I buy a G&P receiver set I can use normal barrels and rail systems? And can I fit an AR15 upper ona HK416 lower?
So if I buy a G&P receiver set I can use normal barrels and rail systems? And can I fit an AR15 upper ona HK416 lower?
Barrels, yes. RIS I'm not to sure, I've heard that they cant fit Madbull rails, how true that is I dont know though so don't take my word on it.
shit, I opened up my gearbox to replace my spring but I fucked up somewhere. now when I pull the trigger, it requires more force than normal (if I apply light force, it doesnt move) and then clicks when I pull it instead of smoothly moving. it stays in place unless i pull it back to the normal position

Basically, any jungle or desert boot is going to be shit, but have awesome support. Look for some nice hiking boots or modern tactical boots if you want a good boot, assuming you don't care if it looks old school, classic military.
