shit, I opened up my gearbox to replace my spring but I fucked up somewhere. now when I pull the trigger, it requires more force than normal (if I apply light force, it doesnt move) and then clicks when I pull it instead of smoothly moving. it stays in place unless i pull it back to the normal position
My trigger also clicks when I pull it but only when its on full auto. As for the trigger being stuck back, did you install the trigger spring correctly?
Does anyone here know anything about tanker boots?
[img_Thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/05/Tanker_boots.jpg[/img_Thumb]
I know they were used in WW1 and are used today so i would assume some would be right for an 80s/90s tanker loadout but i have no idea what type to look for.
And are the Rothco jungle boots actually any good? I remember hearing somewhere that the genuine USGI ones are uncomfortable as fuck but can't recall what was said about the Rothco ones.
Wellco's and Altama make the best Jungle boots. Get them.
Wellco is the original manufacturer of jungle boots during Vietnam, Altama is up there with them, both make excellent jungle boots.

fixed the trigger spring, but now the gun makes a weak grinding noise and doesnt fire any BBs. the battery is full -- now I suspect that I royally fucked my gearbox
Did you check the motor height?
the motor height seems fine. I'm trying to open the gearbox; it might be fucked gears or something
The nozzle on my new Glock is sticking, how can I fix this?
spray silicone oil in it
well, my sector gear is grinding into my trigger and cylinder. the tappet plate doesnt move backward and just grinds onto the sector gear, which throws it out of place and fucks everything up. now my gearbox wont close
you did something horribly wrong then and something is terribly out of place
yep. here's an album of images of my gearbox. I'm completely lost
your piston is in sideways...
you gotta be shitting me

oh my god
[editline]12th July 2013[/editline]
even in the correct alignment, the piston still collides with the sector gear
What do you mean by "collides"? The sector is supposed to mesh with the piston's rack.
it's hard to explain -- basically, the sector gear collides with the piston and trigger. the sector gear doesnt have anywhere to go because piston doesnt move, so it gets all messy

Remove the spring guide and spring, then see if it spins freely.

it spins and pulls the piston back, but then it jams on the trigger thereby getting knocked out of place as the piston is pulled back all the way

turn gears until the sector clip (small metal piece on the sector gear that grabs the tappet plate) is not directly under the tappet plate
also, the sector gear will sort of rub into the trigger until you have the gear box shell back together and the trigger mech in its holes. the spring for the rigger is slightly pushing it back into the gear. once its closed up, it will be in the right spot.
turn gears until the sector clip (small metal piece on the sector gear that grabs the tappet plate) is not directly under the tappet plate
the sector clip and tappet plate are next to each other horizontally but the tappet plate keeps getting stuck under the clip as the gear turns

holy fuck this is a total mess
[editline]12th July 2013[/editline]
any idea what could be going wrong?

make sure youre remembering to put the sector gear chip back at the 1:30 position

Your gearbox sounds like a middle school dance :v:
What's everyone's opinion on the VFC HK416/417?
VFC makes good ass guns, yo
I have the VFC M4 E-Series but I've never actually got a chance to use it. I kind of want to get a somewhat exotic 416/417. Probably the 416 since I have a ton of STANAG magazines.
same old SCAR-H and SCAR-L battle. Nobody prefers the H genuinely, we just get the L in airsoft form because it's so much more practical. Get the 416.
Basically, any jungle or desert boot is going to be shit, but have awesome support. Look for some nice hiking boots or modern tactical boots if you want a good boot, assuming you don't care if it looks old school, classic military.
I put Bates insoles to my Mil-Tec jungles and they're great.

Well yeah, insoles will solve about half your problems with any sort of footwear.
welp, my gun is fucked. I give up
I wasn't even able to actually use it once

If you mail it to me I'll fix it for free
How do you take the stock completely off on a JG G36? Im gonna try painting it, just the top rail, handguard, and stock.

Its been a while, but if I recall:
1. Fold the stock to the side.
2. Unscrew allen screw located on the inside of the joint.
3. Pin holding the stock to the receiver should slide out from either the top or bottom, but it might take some force.
