The Official Questions Thread Version: "Charlies in the trees, what do I need to get rid of them?"

I think I'll use M81 and an AMD, even though it is less common. I'll use my tan desert boots and get a nice sized flag patch. For head gear, I'll use a bandana like this:

What kind of actual gear do they use for 7.62 magazines?
Does their MARPAT have the EGA?
I don't know for certain but I doubt it, that's something the Marines take very seriously.

Sounds like a plan. As for gear, the answer is usually whatever they can get, especially during the 2008 crisis. AK mags can be wedged into generic magazine pouches like the guy in the fifth picture I posted (hurr what a scrub using a crossdraw!!!) but I've seen Georgian soldiers with stuff like Chicoms and captured Russian gear. Worst case they'd hang a big pouch on the belt and fill it with magazines.
I don't know shit about Russian gear, or what any of it is called. I'd like to avoid a chicom though. Recommendation for a Russian vest that would fit the loadout?

I'm afraid that's a little beyond my expertise. There are plenty of people here who know Russkie so they can probably help you out. Keep in mind though that Russian gear is more of a minority amongst the Georgian military and is primarily captured, most of what they use is Western.
Anyone own Condor's Battle belt and H-harness set up?
Is it any good? Have any suggestions for a better alternative?
I want to ditch this leg rig for something more comfortable, but still affordable.

Its a good cheap rig, used mine without problems for a long time, and its infinitely better than a leg rig.
However, it really does pale quite a lot in comparison to my HSGI battle belt.
Also, not sure if I'd go for the condor harness or not, I'd just highly recommend getting the most padded one you can find.

In one of the pictures Catbarf posted there's a Georgian soldier with a 6B5 so that would work. I honestly have no idea where you would find one though.
For a sidearm to be used in VIP games, what would be a better choice. A WE G18c with 50 round magazines or a KWA M11?

I'd recommend the Glock as it can be used as a sidearm with other loadouts, and can be holstered. Also stabby has one for sale with three standard magazines and a real serpa, but he got banned for a week.
WE is pretty sketchy, get the M11. If you want to go extra buttfuck, do the coin mod and get crazy RPM.

I'd say the M11, because using less gas per shot (much less mass to reciprocate) makes it less susceptible to cooldown. I've seen people dump entire mags from those no problem, but most machine pistols with metal slides don't seem to like that.
Also M11s and similar are really badass.
M11s are super easy to disassemble, you don't even need tools
M11s are a piece of shit, I've owned a KWA NS1 and NS2 and they haven't lasted over a month, probably fielded 2 times each.
I had my KWA NS2 MAC-11 for over a year and I never had a single problem with it. I sold it because I had no use for it at a field. The only thing it didn't like was mag dumps, it would lose all the gas before it got to the last 10 BBs. Mag dumps are silly (but fun) anyway.
Where do you guys get your Russian gear?
More specifically, Telnyashkas.
soviet-propaganda
frontowiec
ebay
profarmy has the absolute cheapest prices anywhere (as in $5 without shipping as compared with $10-20 at others) if you're willing to deal with a convoluted ordering system and everything being in russian/rubles

Sportsmansguide.com gets Telnys in every once in a while. Ebay was where I got my Flora set, but that was just because Soviet-Propaganda only had like, one size in stock.

Profarmy is fun to browse. How do you even figure out the sizes? I'm trying to find a tan gorka like someone here was wearing in pictures of a game posted a while back.
I did manage to find a Telnyashka. There's other colors too.

Oh my god profarmy is literally the only place I've looked that has Rastr BDUs and they're only $40. Shipping would probably be bad though.

Thank you for posting this site, literally the best site for Russian uniforms ever.
My JG 416 is shooting slightly to the right, where the bbs would leave the barrel and then curve right. How should I fix?
check your hopup, bucking, and nub. Also wouldnt hurt to clean your barrel
About profarmy - just be careful about ordering from Russia at the moment because their postal office fucked up a couple months ago and they're still backed up to this day so expect your package to be delayed
Me and my buddies planned a profarmy group order about two months ago but we been putting off the order partially because we were waiting 'till customs stopped drinking vodka on the job and straightened up
[editline]28th July 2013[/editline]
When I mean delayed, packages get halted at customs and they stay there for a month on average to two months when it gets bad
Usually it should only take 2-3 weeks if you get lucky

Well last I heard profarmy was pretty great with their English and customer service, and the Russian post had fixed things up a bit, but that could just be commie propaganda.
Bobby, what was it you used for inserts in your IBA? Yoga matting?
Are there any American dealers of Russian equipment?
Credit card doesn't like ordering from overseas, hence the problem I had with Hobby King initially(even though the items I wanted were supposedly in the US warehouse).
Otherwise I'll keep my eyes open at gun shows and surplus shops.
skippers military supply
always out of stock all the time though
Well, my G&G SG550 came today and it's borked.
The fire selector on the left side sticks out at a funny angle because of a metal bearing which looks like it's effectively bored through the side of the gun. The fire selector is extremely difficult to turn.

Great. Just great.
Often, fire selectors have a spring that pushes a metal bearing into an indentation to secure it in place. Odds are that this simply got misaligned or popped out of place, so all you should need to do is remove the selector and put it back on.
those little metal bearings are so the switch clicks firmly in place. You just need push the selector into the correct position and tighten the grub screws that hold it in place. If necessary, take the switch off completely and realign the little bearings and spring and shit
