The Official Questions Thread Version: "Charlies in the trees, what do I need to get rid of them?"

That will be the case since the selector sits flush when set to semi-auto. The only thing is I don't have anything that small to tighten the screw with. I may need to get inventive.
Thanks!
Stupid question, but what does Ifap mean? (I know its related to the forum, not the actual game itself [ I think] )

can we make this our new logo now
Let's get some patches
oh my fuck don't google Ifap
So I ordered some stuff from shootercbgear not too long ago, shipped just fine but it wasnt until my tracking number said delivered and my mailbox was empty and the office didnt have anything for me that I noticed I didnt put down a unit number for my order.
sent an email to USPS but not sure what else I can do. it was delivered to somewhere but since it didnt have a unit number I cant imagine where.
edit: scheduled a re delivery when the tracking number updated to say undeliverable at address. phew, just need a peq, and a flashlight and my gbbr build is complete. will post a pic in the proper thread tomorrow when I get home.

No it's not. When we were first going to make Facepunch patches, we needed an acronym for FP, and someone jokingly proposed IFAP, which we just stuck with.

Some guy wants to sell me a TM 1911A1 with a Prime Colt body. Should I look into it further?

YES.

You should look so far into it that you enter another universe where you already own it.
[editline]29th July 2013[/editline]
Also, you should probably test fire it before you even consider actually buying it.

Get him to describe all the parts and stuff, and ask if he'd be willing to make a firing video on youtube.
Is the SRC T91 a good buy? For only like 100 bucks on airsplat and being pretty well built it doesn't look like you could go wrong :v:
(and taiwaneseprick having one influences me greatly)

I'm definitely going to get one as well. Especially since I'm Taiwanese too.

Are there any other uncommon guns that you guys know of? It'd be kinda cool to have such unique guns like that
Well guns that haven't been popularized by call of duty or something so most people wouldn't know what they are :v:
Well, my G&G SG550 came today and it's borked.
The fire selector on the left side sticks out at a funny angle because of a metal bearing which looks like it's effectively bored through the side of the gun. The fire selector is extremely difficult to turn.
Following on from this; I've managed to get it fixed.
The problem wasn't the grub screw - that was already in pretty tight. It was caused by a combination of things - the bolt holding the fire selector in place was loose meaning the selector was a few mm higher than it should, the spring pushing down on the bearing was damaged and the sockets the bearing sat in clung onto it for dear life and wouldn't let it move.
After tightening the bolt, re-compressing the spring back into a reasonable shape and shaving off the edges of all the sockets with a sharp knife it's now turning fine.
Again, thanks to notrabies and felix for supplying me with the info otherwise I'd have just said "fuck it", returned it and went back to breaking hire guns.
Glad it wasn't too much of a pain in the ass, although its bothersome that it happened in the first place, I've never had anything like that on my G&G's.
Well at least now you can get to actually shooting it!
So, what would be the best type of pistol that is suitable for VIP games in terms of quality and performance? I prefer to have something that can fit in a holster and have a magazine capable of holding 40 rounds or more.
KWA M11
HFC M11
WE 18c (Gen 4)
CM030 (Glock AEP)
JG Skorpion AEP
Grenade Pistol
I'd say one of the macs or the glock. Personally not a fan of AEP's as I feel in every case, and a grenade pistol is only good for the number of grenades you have, which are very pricy.
None of those are great options.
The AEP's will not have very good performance or durability, and are generally a bit of a pain.
The grenade pistol is a single shot and a bad idea, unless you can afford several dozen grenades.
The HFC M11 is worse than the KWA, but both leave a bit to be desired. The KWA isn't awful, but as much as I loved the looks I never enjoyed using mine.
The WE G18 has a habit of shooting its barrel off and more minor issues, its probably the best choice here but I still wouldn't recommend it.
My starter GBB recommendation is any of the KJW Hicapa's (which all fit the 50 round mags, and can be holstered well in a decent universal holster). They're durable as hell and offer great out of the box performance, but also take standard upgrade bits pretty well.
My real recommendation though would be to save up for a TM Glock, 1911, or Hicapa, as you're not paying a ton more than for a normal GBB, but they last much longer and shoot much better.

I already have a WE 1911, but proprietary mags and weird performance quirks leave many to be desired. I want something with the ability to go automatic.

Yeah, the WE 1911 is an awful pistol, that's why I didn't recommend it. If I wanted a good automatic GBB I'd save for the TM G18c over the WE, while it may cost almost twice as much, it will last far longer and shoot way better than two of the WE's.
