oh wow didn't look hard enough i guess suppose i'll have to throw that in with my possibly forthcoming order for sopmod shit
I got legit Dutch army boots, they're the most expensive part of my loadout by far. But they work so well. [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] They cost me 100 bucks, if you really wanna know.

nah i've been wanting to do a sopmod for about a year now but never got around to it
Best combat boots that are less than 50 bucks but won't give me massive blisters?
Like Kath said, you don't want to skimp on footwear. Especially for a high activity...activity, like airsoft. One pair that I can recommend are the Bates ZR-8. http://bdu.com/mens-bates-zr-8-sz I've been wearing them while playing airsoft for almost a year now, and I can say I'm glad I got them rather than some of the higher end boots that I honestly wouldn't notice that much of a difference while wearing (unless they're like walking on clouds). These Bates are comfortable and padded well, they hold up through snow, rain, mud and deep puddles, and they've got a side zipper so you can take them off easily. Bottom line is they're great for someone on a budget but needs something that they can rely on. If you're already spending around $50 on boots, don't waste that money on something that will fall apart, spend a few extra dollars for something good. You won't end up wasting that base $50 and having to spend even more money when the cheap boots fail you.
Thanks for the input. I just didn't want to pay a whole bunch 'cause I have 150$ work boots already, but I wasn't sure if they would be good for airsoft. ( This is the pair that I have. http://workingperson.com/carolina-boots-waterproof-insulated-steel-toe-boots-ca5821-114872.html ) [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] Damn I payed way too much [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] I need to stop supporting local businesses.
If they don't hurt your feet running in them or wearing them for long amounts of time, and since you don't want to pay too much, I'd say wear those. You've got ankle support already with them too. If they do hurt your feet when running or whatever, you could always switch out the insoles for something more comfortable, and that'd be cheaper than buying a new pair of boots. When I first starting playing (before I got the Bates) I wore my Timberland work boots (were around $120 or something, I got them YEARS ago...at a local business) and they worked well, even with the old insoles they came with I've never changed. They're the 6" heel type though so I couldn't really tuck in my pants or anything.
I absolutely love my Converse 8'' boots. Alternatively, if you like Jungle boots, if you shell out ~$100 for a good pair of Altama or Wellco jungle boots they can be comfy with insoles. Stabby has the Altamas, and I have cheap chinese ones but my point is still valid.
Thanks, I'll prolly stick with them seeing as they're really comfortable. I do planon getting decent combat boots in the near future.
I might be able to buy a D-boys Scar-H off a teammate, he says the minimum he'll be willing to pay is 225 euros. I feel that may be a bit overpriced, but he's also throwing in a flash hider, silencer, precision barrel and 3 hi-caps. Unfortunately the slingmount broke so I may need to buy a new one. What do you guys think?
From the looks I thought they were G36 mags. If not, my bad.
i have literally no idea where saphique is getting his information from the mags are nowhere near close to g36 mags (they're not obnoxiously wide) and g&g prolines are great guns (for people with experience, g&g makes more than just combat machines) mags will probably be a bit hard to find (never looked) but good on you for choosing the 550, at least it actually has some battery space unlike the compact models
Hey, I'm looking to buy a Scar-L, but not completely sure if i should go for G&G or VFC. Maybe you got a completly different brand, please let me know what the difference are and which one is better. Thanks

G&G better internals VFC better externals You're not losing either way.
I'd get the VFC because internals are easier to come by.
is there such thing as a decent AND cheap SIG552? [editline]3rd August 2013[/editline] or a cheap/decent hk416?
is there such thing as a decent AND cheap SIG552? [editline]3rd August 2013[/editline] or a cheap/decent hk416?
ICS SIG55x guns are pretty solid. The 552 isn't "cheap", but its affordable and a great deal for what you pay. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=4759 Not sure if they still make the sportline ones but I would rather pay $25 more and just get the metal body if they do. as for 416s, you are pretty much stuck with the ACM ones if you want cheap.
ugh, the only SIG 552 that airsoft megastore has iirc is the JG SEALS 552 I'm stuck with airsoft megashit because I have $90 credit there

If you can only buy from there, look for something else you want.
I have a JG 416 (OEM of the AGM 416 with a ABS receiver), there isn't anything bad about it, but there aren't really any good features to it either, except for the rails. I still would take it over any regular M4 just because it looks different and it takes common M16 magazines.
Anyone own the Cybergun/Cyma Sig 556 or know of their quality? Same question for the King Arms Galil MAR.
I have a budget of $180 and can only purchase from Airsoft Megashit (store credit) what AEG do I buy
someone is offering me their Maruzen clone M500 that's got a slight problem. the cover over the shell ejecting port doesnt return to its original position when racked back. you can push it back with some force and a knife or a lot of force and your thumb. need some advice from the shotgun people on here. for $60 is it worth attempting to fix? wanting to cut it down for that serbu mod I saw on here.

That door not returning to its original position likely indicates that part of the charging arm has sheared, which is par for the course with those guns. If it is on the door itself, that should be fixable with a bit of filing and reshaping. For $60 I would say definitely go for it, at worst you just need to replace the arms which would run $20-30.
ewps I dont know a whole lot about gas shotguns. I can do filing just fine, hell most of the parts on my gbbr are filed down to fit right.
Also, the gun should work properly without that door moving. Definitely test it before buying, if it doesn't work correctly then that might indicate that something else is wrong.
well the door get stuck in the rear position. you cant pull the trigger until you force it to return. dont know if thats normal operation or what.
Does the door being stuck like that physically prevent the pump from returning forward, or does the pump return forward but it still doesn't fire?
the pump returns forward but will not fire until the door is popped forward.
