I really liked Chronicles, Pitch Black was a decent movie that is enjoyable.
Don't get me wrong I like both of the movies and I can't wait to see what they do with the 3rd movie.

Pitch Black was excellent. Chronicles is a good movie if you can switch off your brain and just enjoy the show.
I like the chronicles of riddick world that came about, especially the game(s), but I fucking hate what Vin Diesel and that other hack writer did to the Character.
In pitch black it's fucking simple, riddick is a convict/killer who perhaps was imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit. But in COR, he's somehow turned into a philosophical, one liner spouting mysterious, chosen one warrior bullshit. It's kind of ridiculous and cheesy. Don't agree? Look at Riddick's dialogue and attitude in Pitch Black, and then compare to Chornicles of Riddick.
Fun movies.
Definitely going to see the third.

Loved Pitch Black, hated the "sequel". I never even knew the first one was part of "the chronicles of riddick". I always thought the 2nd one was just a spin-off of the Riddick character in Pitch Black...?

Great, the two previous movies aren't really "good" movies in the sense many people use, but they're really really entertaining atleast to me. Can't wait for this.
Man I'm not sure wheter to hype or not, I really liked the two other movies but I have a bad feeling with a sequel so far off from their releases.

That trailer is looking great. No pointless "care about destiny and these other people" story line, instead just Riddick killing bounty hunters and weird aliens in the dark. That's why I liked the games and the first movie.
