I love my parents obviously, but I honestly don't give a fuck about what they think of me, I'm my own person, I don't live to make them happy. I'm dissapointed in some choices which my parents make, so it would be naive to think that they are not dissapointed in me at times.

I'm never quite sure what my parents think. On one hand, I am the only one in my family not totally fucking life up. On the other hand, they had incredible expectations of me after my testing was done and I was declared a genius etc etc. and I haven't exactly met those expectations. Some days they seem proud, especially now that I am in a programming course and am consistantly top of the class. But other days they treat me like I'm fucking it up. I hope some day this is all a little clearer. You know, I could deal with them not really being proud of me... at least then I could say "Deal with it" so they know exactly how I feel. But this mix-and-match shit drives me crazy.

Meh, my parents are vietnamiese and you know, they all have that asian mentality about how you should be the best at everything. Even though I try to get all the best marks in college, they always say that I can do better than that and they don't seem to really care in the end. I like coding and I think I'm relatively good at it but it doesn't really make them proud either, it seems to piss them off more than anything. Or maybe they are proud but they're hiding it. :v:

I punched my dad in the face but that's really the only time my parents have actually been disappointed in me. I don't recommend it. I felt like shit afterwards.
