Please don't ban me :ohdear:
TH89 knows what racism is. You have to be extremely ignorant to think that racism is only using racial slurs or committing physical harm to a minority. Racism extends far beyond that.
I'm declared a racist, why?
You speak out against the appreciation of a race that isn't your own. That sounds racist to me.
probably because you are a racist black people are perfectly capable of having a discussion about race, i've had plenty of them with black people that i didn't even know, yet i was never called a racist way to blame the rest of the world when the only one who can't have a conversation about race is you wow you're like bill o'reilly. "why can't we have a decent conversation about race?" "because you were surprised people in a restaurant owned by african americans weren't shouting 'WHERE'S MY MOTHERFUCKING ICE TEA'."
uh, that's sort of stereotypist, even if it's not offensive "all black people can discuss race well"
uh, that's sort of stereotypist, even if it's not offensive "all black people can discuss race well"
Did you read the post you're quoting? Or are we on completely different internets?
uh, that's sort of stereotypist, even if it's not offensive "all black people can discuss race well"
the words well, all, and can didn't appear in that sentence so uh why did you put that in quotes dude
uh, that's sort of stereotypist, even if it's not offensive "all black people can discuss race well"
Where did you get that from? He just said he has had discussions with black people about race.
You speak out against the appreciation of a race that isn't your own. That sounds racist to me.
your definition of racism clearly differs from everyone else's Racism 1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. 2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination. 3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races
your definition of racism clearly differs from everyone else's Racism 1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. 2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination. 3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races
I'm so glad we've sunk down to the point where we're trying to define incredibly complex social issues using an online dictionary :downs:
the words well, all, and can didn't appear in that sentence so uh why did you put that in quotes dude
OK, perhaps I took some liberties with my paraphrasing. Would saying "you're implying that all black people discuss race well and without taking offense" be better?
OK, perhaps I took some liberties with my paraphrasing. Would saying "you're implying that all black people discuss race well and without taking offense" be better?
Except he didn't imply that at all. That would be like me paraphrasing your post as saying you like to molest children with a feather duster when the moon is full.
I'm so glad we've sunk down to the point where we're trying to define incredibly complex social issues using an online dictionary :downs:
We're not trying to define "incredibly complex social issues", we're trying to disambiguate a word. How can you use a word without providing a working definition of it? Can you agree that "racism" means what the site says it means? I mean, I could go through my paper dictionaries but you'll find they're generally outdated and will yield similar results (with slightly different wording) anyway.
OK, perhaps I took some liberties with my paraphrasing. Would saying "you're implying that all black people discuss race well and without taking offense" be better?
no it's because who i was quoting was implying that all black people called him racist for debating the subject of race. when i said that black people can discuss race i meant that you shouldn't put all black people into one group. people who are black can have discussions and reach their own conclusions, there is no singular black people that believe in one singular thing
Except he didn't imply that at all. That would be like me paraphrasing your post as saying you like to molest children with a feather duster when the moon is full.

black people are perfectly capable of having a discussion about race
Does this mean I have to fap to black porn because of the black history month? BBC porn?

Hell, it would be racist if you similarly spoke out against the appreciation of white culture and heritage. And by you, I mean estream or whatever that person's name is.
black people are perfectly capable of having a discussion about race
Are you really having this much trouble with what was written above? Really?
Even if we use your example, your speaking out against the appreciation and discussion of black culture and heritage is racist. Hell, it would be racist if you similarly spoke out against the appreciation of white culture and heritage.
No, it isn't - at no point, if someone says black history month should not be celebrated, are they falling within the definition I provided. They're not demeaning another race. (not that i think black history month shouldn't be celebrated)
your definition of racism clearly differs from everyone else's Racism 1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. 2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination. 3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races
Racism is an abstract idea, to me, racism doesn't have to be as overt as the definitions you gave me, it can be little things. If a race, as a collective whole, wants for there to be a month celebrating their freedom from oppression, then I say let them have it. If a person wants to try to stop a race from doing this, then I say that's racism.
lol except there is no white culture people are gonna look at you oddly if you start talking about white pride for the same reason people look at you funny when you wear a t-shirt of hitler there's irish pride, italian pride, canadian pride, and russian pride pretty sure those are people considered white anyway
No, it isn't - at no point, if someone says black history month should not be celebrated, are they falling within the definition I provided. They're not demeaning another race.
Unless they're also advocating for the complete dismantling of white American society in order for it to also not be celebrated, yes they are. Only the ignorant and the prejudiced have problems with the existence of minority spaces.

I dislike blacks, I don't think I'm superior by them in any way, as an entire race. I can think I'm better than a single black man or a group, but not because they have a different skin pigment than I, I could be superior in any number of ways, but not due to my skin pigment or where I was born. That is not racism, I am not racist by dictionary definition, if a child on Facepouch thinks I'm racist, go ahead, you're just blending in with the rest of ignorant shitheads. You pulled a load of shit out of your ass just on that single thing I said. Congratulations.

Sorry, I guess my black friends missed the last international Black Meeting for the Continuation of Black History Month.
speaking out against the appreciation and discussion of black culture and heritage is racist.
This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

I'm willing to play the devil's advocate; why do you "dislike" black people as a race?
Disliking a race, does not equal hatred or intolerance.
great, a semantic argument
