Or go out in a t-shirt and jeans. All I do most of the time, even in the single digits Fahrenheit. If you need a coat, go leather. I usually end up sweating my balls off in mine. They are really warm.
No it has definitely not. It was cold as fuck today. My trick to keeping warm is to wear one layer that warms you up, and another that stops the wind.
Are you kidding? I was just walking round with a jacket with jeans, no extra socks or anything, I was ok.
Don't double socks - it restricts blood flow.
I just wear my big ass Canada Goose and I'm good to go.
Where thermals
Any local sporting goods store will have them. [editline]15th February 2011[/editline] I wear pajamas under my Dickies. :buddy:

I've worn pajamas to stores when it's really fucking cold out there. Someone should make suit-looking pajamas. ACTION PAJAMAS.
Actually, the testes function better in the cold, which is exactly why they're outside of the body.
Don't you know that when testes get cold they are pulled closer to the body automatically to get warmer?

Move to Florida :smug:
You can cut back on a lot of that by getting good flannel lined pants. Cotton twill or ripstop on the outside, flannel on the inside. Those are completely comfortable down to about -18 C. Beyond that just wear thermal underwear or a similar layer and you should be good for almost anything.
Yeah, but I don't have any of those. I do wear ripstop BDUs on the outside though, I go through pants like nobodies business. If I don't tear a hole in them on something sharp I usually end up lighting myself on fire or something like that so I ended up buying a bunch of cotton ripstops.
Trust me on this, the ninja thing does NOT work. The part over my mouth froze over and got stuck, and it wasn't very fun getting off. COME AT ME BRO /caps
Get a nice coat (Columbia, The North Face, Cabelas stuff, etc) and limit your time outside. If you have to go outside for more then one hour, wear gloves/snowpants.
I wear my dad's old field jacket. I love it, it keeps me warm, and it's durable. It looks like this... ... except it has the name tag and the "U.S. ARMY" tag on it.
that ninja mask is not gonna work. as you learn in the army, never cover you mouth up. it will condensate and the moisture will freeze. making you even colder than you where.
Yesterday it was -33 celcius and nothing froze. So go teach the army a thing or two about being a ninja.
Only -22C? Just wear the basic winter-clothing, that's all about it.
Lol, Silly Siberians and their internet access.
It's -50 here some days, I just wear a jacket and I'm fine for my 5 minute walk to school. Although walking any further I would want to wear a toque, gloves and something over my face.
Dohohoho, try driving a bike for 2 kilometers in a windy -30C afternoon with clothes that are meant for use during autumn.

[editline]16th February 2011[/editline] It's awesome
Was this sarcasm, irony, or just a joke? I can't tell
It was just a joke. It's been about 4-5 months since we've had remotely nice weather so Its a delight to be on the bike. Not on the moped though, at 60 Km/h shit's still cold.
Dress up like this motherfucker year 'round and you'll be warm forever
I just wear my gigantic, almost Penumbra-style jacket to keep me warm. So many pockets I don't even need a bag.
