Generally the people that get to see early screenings are the ones that are more likely to enjoy the film. It's not until it's out for a week or so that the old farts who despise anything that has CGI get around to seeing and reviewing it.

Also reminds me of the first person to give the Dark Knight Rises a negative review. He go so many death threats they were forced to completely delete the commenting system.

I'm sure it will be a great film but I'll imagine the current rating will drop between 91-93% like all the other top Marvel movies (IM1, Avengers, DOFP, etc.).

Same thing happened with Toy Story 3 hilariously enough. Some people take reviews a bit too seriously.

The issue with a movie Star-Lord cosplay is that it's incredibly easy to go from "cool it's star-lord" to "wow that guy looks like a douche"
Unless you get all the details right and have his mask, you're just gonna be some guy in a cheap leather jacket and black pants.

I used pepakura and a Star Lord helmet file I got from TheRPF, I'm not advertising or anything but its a really good site with a great community that gladly offer advice and help on props and costumes.

Adam Savage goes on it.

Well anyways, For the main shape of the head I used a 13mm yoga mat and for the little details I used 5 dollar craft foam. I suggest those foam puzzle squares as they are easy to work with.

Blue is yoga mat, Yellow is craft foam. All hot glued together.

Then I sealed it with PVA glue (I used Elmer's glue mix with a little bit of water) I gave it 4 coats of water mixed glue and 2 layers of glue with no water.

And afterwards for good measure I used Plasti dip for give it a good final seal which makes it come out like this.

Then you can paint.

I weathered it using just a sock turned inside out and smudging the silver paint on it. Then doing the details by hand.

For the side tubes I used some old tv coax wire I had laying around.
