watching this at 8:30 in local time which means in about 4 hours (unless it rains) god i hope it doesn't rain

this is the best movie I've seen all year, loved it as much the avengers. Can't wait for blu ray release.

So can we all agree that the [sp]Blacklight/Jackson Pollock[/sp] joke was the best joke in the movie? Lots of the other jokes were really funny, but that was the one that had me in legit stitches.

My brother has some weird disorder where he finds going to the cinema the worst thing in the world. Seriously, the last movie he went to was The Hobbit in 2012, and then I had to bribe him. It's not because it's "awkward" or anything like that to go to the movies alone, but I enjoy having a group to talk with before and after.

I saw it, didn't regret seeing it. I'm not good at reviews.

The movie was announced back in 2012, when I had just finished reading the comics. I could not have been more excited. Let me tell you something: Guardians of the Galaxy lived up to 2 years of hype. 2 years of ogling concept art in wonder. 2 years of watching a leaked trailer over and over. 2 years of riding a hype train that had no brakes. Go see this movie. Please.

I went into this movie near completely blind. I haven't read any of the comics, nor have I even heard of GoTG before seeing the trailer for this movie. I have to say this movie was fucking great. Great characters, great action, and lots of funny moments. I think I'll do myself a favor and start reading the comics.

Oh haha, I just remembered Kevin Bacon played the bad guy in James' previous film, Super. The legend of Footloose makes more sense now

I'd just like to say thank you to Katatonic and Y U NO OBJECT since you guys have pretty much ran this thread for me over the last 2 years and are the biggest Guardians fans I've seen. Now I have to wait around a week before I can even see it but after the last 2 years I am damn excited.
