Just started watching season 8 last night, up to ep3. It's a bit strange, not as exciting as previous seasons, no real feeling of tension and way too much of that shitty Jennifer Carpenter... Seriously cannot stand that actress. This will probably get me dumb ratings because for some reason everyone seems to love her despite her being a terrible actress and a horrifically annoying character in general... Just like Chloe O'Brien in 24. Oh well.
Series has been ruined since September 26th, 2010
Ironically about the same time Manny Coto came on board full time. I love Manny, but whenever he joins another show it always goes to shit (even if the ratings say otherwise). 24, Enterprise... Nothing's ever the same once Manny joins the team. I just wish he got to stick with his own Odyssey 5 show as that was basically perfect.
I've got no idea how this show is going to end now, but I've got this strange feeling it's not going to be satisfying. I blitzed through the first 6 seasons in a matter of weeks not too long ago and loved every minute of it, but from the end of season 6 it started to feel different, I can't explain it. Moments of awesome surrounded by frustrating confusion.
Well right now she's pretty much the only person on the show acting somewhat logically
why is everyone so cheery around dead body crime scenes ?? its like the writers forgot people aren't supposed to like dead bodies. like deb just walks in and there is a dead body 'oh yeah sucks shes dead haha hey brother whats up'
I love how [sp]emotional scene like Dexter finding dead Zach in his own apartment was swept under a minute, just so we could see more of Dexter and Hannah's fucking.[/sp]
I'm not complaining, at least it's better than shitty dialogue.
I gotta hand it to the writers, did not see that coming. /cough

Hannah really is stunning

Damn, did she poison you? How long have you been paralysed? Fucking rogues.
Any reason to watch the latest episode? Hannah and Dex screwing?
Any reason to watch the latest episode? Hannah and Dex screwing?
If you're a gay man maybe.
Let me summarise the episode:
Vogel is crazy. Zach is retarded. Hannah and Dexter bang, you mostly see MCH's ass. Debra is the only reasonable person again, until she goes and fucks it up for Dexter. Jamie x Quinn have issues.
I found Zach hilarious in this episode
I feel like Deb's dialogue in the beginning was taken from someone who was critical of the scripts for this season as they were writing them.
[sp]"She's killed her husbands, she's good at that. Why would she poison you and leave you at the side of the road if she wanted you to do it?"[/sp]
i want to see some behind the scenes footage of the writers room

i bet they high five each other every time they come up for a witty line for dex to say to himself
This episode was bad, but acceptable until [sp]Dexter just goes derp and asks hannah not to go.[/sp]
Seriously, what the fuck. The brain surgeon stole his brain without him knowing?
I liked Dexter when it was about an ice cold serial killer psychopath.
Now it's about luv and butterflies and sisters and sons and oh my Jamie's friend <3.
"you can't be a killer and a hero"

[sp] Agreed. Not a hannah fan, but she was more bearable this season. A psychopath isn't capable of empathy. Not supposed to be jolly over some dumb blonde[/sp]
I for one really enjoyed the dynamic between Dexter and Zach. Zach's parents pay zero attention to him and it's doubtful he has any friends, so there's nobody to give him the negative reinforcement Dexter recieved when he started killing with Harry's death, the eventual discovery of his suicide, and the reactions of everybody who figures out his secret, sans Hannah. This results in Zach taking an almost joyful pleasure out of what he's doing, and he seems to be eager to improve, almost like a dark reflection of some of Dexter's early experiences. Adding Hannah into the mix created this really grotesque, broken, "family sitcom" sort of image that I found really interesting, despite how much I hate her as a character. [sp]I was pretty sad to see Zach go, especially in such a horrific way but FUCK YES I KNEW YATES WASN'T IT AND NOBODY BELIEVED ME[/sp]
I actually liked this episode. Holy shit. It's as if someone around the writing table just killed the others and made shit work again.
I'm actually one of the writers son, and I've been informed on how it's going to end. I've known since before the season began, so this is going to contain a lot of spoilers. Dexter is not actually a serial killer but a homosexual. Dexter has been holding in his sexual feelings, and channeling it through killing. Harry was actually a Mormon but converted to a "Jew" (not sure what that is). Angels fedora is used to cover a tumor that's been growing since he was five. Quinn is actually the second tumor that was on angels head, that was able to walk away. He changed his name from tumor to Quinn. He wanted to sound human. Well, in the last episode Cody (Rita's transgendered child now known as Codie) comes back and tries to kill Dexter for lack of fashion. The twist is Debra is actually Harry and has sexual feelings for Dexter.
You actually had me for a second there with the first two sentences
Well played

I knew [sp]it wasn't Yates. I don't see how anyone would think it was him. Yate's M.O. was completely different from the surgeon.[/sp]
*runs down pier to meet his lover before boarding a private water plane* "DONT GO I NEED YOU" - actual scene in dexter
christ
Used to be amazing. Damn shame guys.
Dexter, where the ratings go up if the show ends.

He's making a joke that if the show would be better if they just stopped airing it instead of making it worse every week, but since that'll never happen, world peace is more likely.

That's not funny. My granddads step-sister died from lack of world peace. What a piece of shit. Is nothing sacred anymore? Where has Jesus gone today?
