The only thing I like about this new season is a huge amount of dutch shots. I don't know, I'm a sucker for them.

I'd say overall the novels at their best are still worse than the show at its worst. In the novels, Dexter always wears a ski mask for his kills. And once he was without it, so he improvised with plastic wrap(if you remember his wacky face mask from the pilot). The show decided to incorporate that plastic mask without ever explaining why or using ski masks. Tagged just incase anyone cares, but here's some really dumb things from the first novel: [sp]Dexter was without his ski mask because he decided to kill on a whim. There was nothing special about this guy, no threat to Dexter, no emergency. He just said "I could vet and stalk this guy, plan it out like Harry taught me, but nah." So he literally just grabbed this guy the first time he saw him. He almost got caught mid-kill and left the body sitting at the scene for cops to find. Another time, a security camera picked up footage of the "Tamiami Slasher"(ITK) planting his latest victim. From the angle of the camera, the guy looked identical to Dex(because it was Brian). Now Dexter obviously hadn't killed the guy, drained his blood, or planted his body. Dexter knew where he was when it all happened, yet somehow the security footage made him think it was him for some reason, and he almost confessed. It was basically "Well I was at home last night either asleep or watching TV, but this footage can't be wrong. Guess I should turn myself in." At the end of the first book too, he sided with Brian and actually attempted to kill Deb. She was fully conscious and aware, and after the few months between the first and second books she was pretty much over the fact that Dex was a serial killer, and the fact that he tried to kill her.[/sp]

That episode managed to be the worse so far, I can't wait to see a even worse episode in this season. And be utterly disappointed by the finale.

The progenitor of The Dark Passenger is akin to Lucifer (It fell from the sky) or some Pagan God.[/sp] But yeah, the books are kinda shit.

Ep tonight was good, except [sp]they mis-identified brain surgeon(I think? They acted like they thought it was Yates since they dumped the brains with him). Yates buried his victims, unless he changed his M.O. he wasn't leaving them in the open for police to find. Very disappointed Dex overlooked that.[/sp] Not sure if the [sp]bed kill was cool or laughable.[/sp] Probably going to abandon thread quite soon until the show's done. Apparently full spoilers are leaked and spreading like wildfire.
