Can't wait for this to just end at this point. Episode was terrible. [sp]Dark haired teen Dexter was terrible, should've been killed[/sp]. Also, if that leads to a spinoff, I'll be rather peeved.
'i keep thinkin that dead chick spilt all that blood just for me' in what world would anybody think that be an appropriate thing to say, especially a police officer? even if you are thinking that, nobody is dumb enough to so obviously be that creepy and morbid just casually to a guy you just met
This show has gotten so hilariously bad
Jesus, 6 more episodes to go? At this point I'm imagining each episode will have new plot.
[sp]Sure Dexter! Print pictures that proof Zach Hamilton killing Norma Rivera, in his own room. It's not like printing something makes noise or that Zach would be able to find out![/sp]
how can dexter just sit there waiting for them to finish printing isnt he worried he might come home or he might leave a digital trace of his doings like most programs have a 'recently opened' list and i am sure zach would be keeping close tabs to something that implicates him in murder god dexter you are so DUMB just a god damn dumb idiot episode i dont even know how the writers dress themselves
gosh i hope quinn gets that promotion [editline]5th August 2013[/editline] sry sopoliers [editline]5th August 2013[/editline] this show is about quinn right
What's with these writers and them putting some wannabe Dexter in each season. [sp]old writers Season 1 - Mostly about Dexter and how unique he is and serial killer that seems to know Dexter Season 2 - Dexter needs to do a lot to not get caught, Doakes is on the case, Lila tries to be like Dexter, Dexter kills her for it Season 3 - Miguel and the first attempt to have a friend that kills with Dexter, failure Season 4 - Dexter trying to figure out what he might become in the future from old serial killer new writers Season 5 - second attempt to have a friend that kills with Dexter Season 6 - hilarious villain, plot twist that everyone saw coming, probably the worst writting Season 7 - third attempt to have a friend that kills with Dexter... oh and Debra learns the truth about Dexter Season 8 - fourth attempt to have a friend that kills with Dexter, this time a student[/sp]
Lila wasn't trying to be like Dexter. She wasn't even a serial killer, just fucking crazy. Also, Colin Frowny Face Hanks wasn't trying to be like Dexter either. He just liked to scowl and act dumb as shit the entire season.
That's why I didn't call him a wannabe Dexter. True about Lila.
Man that difference between the old and new writers is crazy, there was actually a sense of progression with the whole thing unlike what happened after season 5. I still wonder why the hell they got new writers starting season 5 though.
That was a really shitty episode.
With the new writers coming from 24, I'm surprised we haven't had Dexter being interrogated by Jack Bauer about WHERE THE BODIES ARE.
So Dexter really just calls the girl's work with his own cellphone, asks some guy when the hot girl gets off from work, even though there is a high chance she will be killed that night? The writers just don't care anymore, do they?

I always felt like the storyline for season 2 should have happened a bit later on in the series but they played it off well and it was still done better than anything post season 4 idk
I keep waiting for Quinn to remember that he was suspicious of Dexter but of course that's not going to happen is it? Stan Liddy? Who is that?
Hey Dexter, thanks for trailing Zach last night, you were a big help. So did you find anything useful for me? Nothing? oh okay. Though it is odd that he went missing, maybe he skipped town when you weren't looking?
I keep waiting for Quinn to remember that he was suspicious of Dexter but of course that's not going to happen is it? Stan Liddy? Who is that?
You keep waiting for the show to make sense That's the problem
I keep waiting for Quinn to remember that he was suspicious of Dexter but of course that's not going to happen is it? Stan Liddy? Who is that?
Eh, I'm sure they weren't that good of friends anyway. Plus, remember, Dex hooked him up with Debra to make him forget. That's a fair deal, right?

Say what you will, but the show is at least still damn entertaining. Yeah the writing is significantly worse than it used to be, but IMO the writing is at least better than some of the recent seasons, and so far his illogical and dumb fuck-ups lately have at least not been as major as "taking a vacation driving down the highway shooting your gun wildly in the air while talking to your ghost brother and killing someone in the spur of the moment".
At this point they should just bring back the demon = dark passenger thing. Would probably explain shit better than other things.

Almost nothing of significance happened and Dexter apparently hates killing most of the time now. And there were too many dumb moments in that single episode.
Yeah, to be honest the easiest way to avoid getting killed by Dexter while being already on the table is using reverse psychology. Oh, and hey I don't know whether I'm starting to imagine things, but at the very beginning Dexter wasn't killing bad folks that somehow avoided justice? Dexter, it's not like you have some determined cop, and you have definitive proof of killing... Jesus.
So in the show [sp]Deb finds out about Dexter fairly late, at the end of season 6 and has a lot of trouble coping with it.[/sp] And in the books [sp]Deb find out early, at the end of the first book and seems to get over it quite quickly. She's obviously not okay with it, but it doesn't bother her a great deal.[/sp] Which one do you guys prefer?
Despite the show downgrading since the new writers, I prefer the shows version more. [sp]It's just more realistic with how her character is.[/sp]
Neither
How far you have fallen Dexter. I feel like drinking acid after finishing that last episode. Holy shit.
How far you have fallen Dexter. I feel like drinking acid after finishing that last episode. Holy shit.
Now I know the writing has been pretty terrible these last few seasons, but I found most episodes fairly entertaining and watchable, even if the quality was significantly lacking. This past episode was the first time I ever felt completely bored watching a new episode. I did not care in the slightest about anything going on, and was honestly waiting for it to be over. Usually I'm at least interested to see what's going to happen, and I've never actually been bored to death during a new episode. I think now instead of Dexter the character killing fictional people, Dexter the show is starting to kill its viewers.
