Makes perfect sense.
You're just butthurt that the Republicans don't have the white house and Congress anymore.

Will have it soon enough anyway.
I hate liberals.
I hate conservatives
I hate the political center
I hate politics.

The first few results I read were about Republicans trying to stop Net Neutrality.
Are you trying to be Pro-Republican or Pro-Democrat?
They are homophobic creationist racist rednecks. I'm only intolerant of intolerant people.

Another thing people dislike about Republicans.
Too much Us-vs-Them.
"OH YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN LESS TAX SUBSIDIES FOR WATER TRANSPORT COMPANIES? YOU FUCKING LIBERAL!"

it's pretty obvious if you know what net neutrality is (regardless of my horrible context).

And I'm only intolerant of the super far left people like you.
Not all Republicans are Christians, not all Republicans hate gays. Not all Republicans are horrible ignorant people.
You may not be like that, and many other Republicans may not be like that but the majority of Republicans are. Democrats are no better, though.
As can your ignorance :smug:
:sigh: why does everything be so serious...
[editline]07:54PM[/editline]

You sir, have made my day.
I used to live in the Mid-west. I almost got beaten up for being atheist.
The first question everyone asked there was,
"What church do you go to?"
the reason you're getting an influx of party hating twats is because in recent years it's become trendy to be in politics. The source of all the piss bashing is from people hating bush and wanting someone else in power. The result is a fuckton of uneducated 13-19 year olds (the adults do it too) that know nothing about politics and are simply looking for a way to strike back for the shit that Bush put us through. Basically, they're being rebellious.
As a liberal, it makes me want to punch each of them in the face. Because what ends up happening is these extremist liberal assholes start lining themselves up with the actual liberals interested in politics, and then whenever they get into a discussion they can't back shit up and end up making the entire party look bad. Educated extremists (there are a few on here) are actually okay, they're just frustrating because they're so militant - but at least they don't make us look fucking dumb. There's a big correlation between radicalism and lack of education and funds.
Basically, I'd say about 70% of each party consists of stubborn fucks that don't know what they're talking about, and then the remaining 30% are the educated, split into halves of moderates and far left/right.
[editline]02:16PM[/editline]
test to see if someone is a new wave liberal: Ask them if they support obama
if they mention the word change once, they're a new liberal
You sir, have made my day.
It's the Debtstar. :v:
There's nothing wrong with being conservative, Republicans just happen to be a bunch of stupid fucks who call themselves conservatives.
I myself, as many could tell from other posts, a Republican. I hate how people act like mentioning the party itself is politically incorrect.
The problem with the world Conservative is that in American culture, the loudest conservatives are exactly the opposite of what Republicanism is.
Politics in America is extremely confused, I mean come on:
A party that both says "No Government Hands On" and "Protect The Sanctity of Marriage"?
Confused shit there.
Not so much confusion as blatant hypocrisy.
[editline]07:40PM[/editline]
I'm "pro-life" yet I'm in favour of the death penalty!
The reason I believe the republican party is getting bashed so much these days is because they seem more interested in bashing the president than worrying about us at the moment. They may not like the current president, but they could at least try to help work out policies out rather than completely oppose everything Obama does. This is compounded by, as CodeMonkey said, the few republicans that make idiots of themselves.
Hopefully, things settle down soon and return to a more friendly opposition. Now that I think about it though, politicians have never really had much of a friendly opposition, I mean, when congress found out JFK had been assassinated, some of them literally stood up and started clapping. I suppose politics will always bring out the worst in people.
Why would you want the states to hold the most power? The country was shit when they tried that because none of the states wanted to pay any taxes to the central government.
I hate the GOP because it is accepting and embracing partisan extremism, by not denouncing the opinions of morons like Glenn Beck and Limbaugh.

Yes they seem to overlook the Articles of Confederation don't they?
Hey man did you know that these "Republican ideals" are the same ideals that made the Confederate States of America's government an inefficient piece of shit?
[editline]02:28PM[/editline]
GOP sucks, moderate Republicans need to form their own party.
I never said that I wanted the Articles of Confederaton back. Just a system that takes into account the will of the States.
A balance of power between the States and Central Government. I don't propose we throw out the idea of a central government as it's completely vital for America's Infrastructure.
I never said that I wanted the Articles of Confederaton back. Just a system that takes into account the will of the States.
Maybe if the State government's were more than utterly stupendous and ineffective that idea might have some value.
So States are completely incapable of making their own decisions and need to be parented by a central government with a Lobby System?

What "balance of power" could you possibly mean? Nation-wide issues require federal funding and regulation, I don't get how individual states can handle more than "hey let's build a road or school or fire hydrant or something".

Bro, California's governor is Arnold Schwarzenegger.
And California is doing much better than most states.
That's how bad it is.
It's true that it's possible to be a republican without the the social conservative part, but let's be honest, that is the exception, not the norm.
And that's not even a republican thing, that's an american thing. To a lesser extent, it's a human thing. Most people you talk to off the internet hold a lot of ignorant bigotries (You see it online as well, but it's quite understated). Republicans/ conservatives are just the most vocal about them, at least through the media.
Look at it this way, the news reports the issues, from both sides (not objectively, of course, but they do present both sides). The republicans, generally being more conservative, are going to be the ones wanting to go back or remain the same, the democrats are the ones who are generally moving forward. However, in the big picture, they're all very much the same. It's just the edge issues (and sensational infotainment) that exaggerate they're slight differences.
