Most of the moderators that still frequent this forum are the same moderators that were promoted to modship when there used to be an annual moderator elections for popular FPers to be voted on to be moderators held by Hezzy (the old lead mod). Rusty is an example of one of those people who was voted due to popularity. Then after a while it sort of changed from a popularity contest to picking people who were genuinely fit to be moderators; usually through credit from being a well-respected member.
