tomorrow i dedlift KKKKKK
Hey everyone. I've never posted in this section before, but tomorrow I plan on starting the "skinny bastards" plan in the sticky. This will be my first time actually working out and sticking to a plan, so here goes nothing. I'm 20 y/o, 6'0" 150lbs. Any tips you guys wanna give for a noobie? I plan on eating a fuckton more than I usually do, and have already started that. I've got creatine and whey that I plan on using. My main problem is motivation to actually get up and go to the gym. I'm at my college campus for the summer (and fall and winter for that matter) with a rec center with weight room. Hopefully I can get going and see some gains in the near future!
pre-workout motivates me but once you start going to the gym regularly, you'll get hooked on going (pwo too)
any preworkout brand or flavor or whatever recommendations?
any preworkout brand or flavor or whatever recommendations?
your own saliva bro [editline]9th June 2013[/editline] take a big gulp and lift dat shit
any preworkout brand or flavor or whatever recommendations?
N.O Xplode is my favorite kind, c4 is good too i'd steer clear of assault, it sucks imo [editline]9th June 2013[/editline] jack3d is good too
any preworkout brand or flavor or whatever recommendations?
If you insist on using preworkout jack3d is pretty darn good. Though i restrict myself to creatine on days i feel sore and brotein. also if you manage to go consistently the noobgains should motivate you more then enough, force yourself to the gym and the motivation comes by itself really.
I'm 6'3" 200lbs right now, considering doing Stronglifts 5x5 and running every day (I already own an elliptical) to get in shape over the summer. I'm not looking to get massive muscles or anything but just not being an inactive nerd that gets out of breath easily. Any suggestions?

Once you work out consistently, you could do it all wrong and not know what the fuck you're doing and still get bigger and stronger over the years, though obviously at a slower rate than if you knew what the hell you were doing. Hard to say what I do to keep motivated, I was never really motivated for it, I just kept going regardless of if I wanted to or not and after a few months, it was so ingrained into my routine that I'd just go without giving it a second thought.
Started running on my elliptical, got .62 miles running for 10min + 3min cooldown and was sweating and exhausted after, although my abs hurt more than anything else. I think that's pretty good for not exercising at all for a year
fucking shit ive been busy with fixing up my house this whole fucking week just run into the gym bent press a couple times and run out

Do you even into traps. Flaring traps makes lats disappear.
Deadlifted 225 yesterday 5 times. Felt pretty good considering I couldn't do it all last summer and during winter/spring I struggled a bit [editline]13th June 2013[/editline] I'll go ahead and take my "strongest facepuncher" trophy now

I managed to bench 3 reps @ 80kg today for a few sets, so happy. Is it weird that my squat is at 6 reps @ 82.5kg when my bench is that? I couldn't squat for a while because of an ankle injury so when I started again I decided to start a lot of my compound exercises from scratch. My bench has gone from 70 to 80, while my squat has gone from 60 to 82.5 (I add 2.5kg every week. I've got a feeling though that soon my squat will get much higher than my bench, I could have squatted more than 82.5kg but I'm sticking to the 2.5kg rule.
its a bit weird but understandable given your injury, and that you probably trained your upper body more during that time. your lower body will catch up soon enough
