I also have some mad bruises on my quads from dropping the weights on them and stabbing myself with the bar part of the DBs after shoulder presses.
maverick ur a magician u gave me the power! managed to improve my personal best on dl from 132.5 kg to 140 in a week. god damn man i just loaded on the weight for 135, stared at the bar and took none of its shit and managed a couple of reps, then a rep of 137.5 and then a rep of 140. i feel farrrking strong and its the best progress ive made in ages! i need you to come lifting with me and give me more of that motivation. but fuck me im going to be sore tomorrow
Did 315 today, soooo much power gains with this new routine I've been doing, I pretty much went from 260 1rm to 315 in 1-2 weeks depending on how i look at it. I can post it if anyones interested, pretty basic but so good. Thing is, i think i have like no muscle endurance, because i went back down to 225 and struggles with 2 but I think i was just pooped, but still I should be hitting 10 at the very least, 7 is my best so far and that was a while back. Know any good exersizes for upping reps, I'm thinking I'll just stick with the heavy power stuff till i hit a high enough 1rm that when i go back down to 225 it feels super light.
does it involve high squats?
Oh, cant believe I forgot to mention what it was for, bench. My squats are at 405x5 so im good in that department.
it's strange that people think it's strange and that whole world has a 'once a week gym sessions' as part of their curriculum ... [editline]13th August 2013[/editline] [QUOTE=Heigou;41817231]Yeah I can attest to that, as someone who owns a home gym, I have a LOT of fucking mental walls. There's also the general atmosphere in the gym, the fact that their tools are really good and their floors aren't made out of shitty concrete that will shatter if you drop the weight. I got over a few of these walls but before I was really victim to them, for example, I was pressing 50 lbs dbs at home thinking it was hard as shit and when I went with my friend to his gym as a guest, I was already pressing fucking 80s per arms. For deadlifting I was just like that, I thought as soon as I was struggling too much, I'd hurt something or simply couldn't lift that much and I just immediately stopped trying and put the weight down. Not like that anymore though, now I fucking love when it takes like a full 5 seconds of struggling just to finish my single rep with deadlifting though I still have a problem with the shitty concrete, I now put like 4-5 layers of shit between the concrete and my weights to make sure I don't shatter it after a deadlift but on some other lifts where I could probably lift more if I could drop the weight after a heavy ass set, I simply can't do that.[/QUOTE] [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMx6x3kEPSM&feature=c4-overview&list=UU0ASolYU_Yh3yShLFQC0stg[/media] Watch this
I HAVE MY TEAM OF THE BEST SCIENTISTS DECIPHERING WHAT YOU JUST SAID [editline]13th August 2013[/editline] Hell yeah, fucking Elliott, I already watch his videos and saw that one, good stuff. Mental blocks aren't as bad, I'm lifting like mad right now and I guess I've got good legs genetics because they're fucking exploding in size while my upper body is just growing normally.
what I said was about the 3 plate thing on deadlift. show me a picture of your quads.

You are capable of far more than your body thinks you are. Remember, the human body is not a machine that likes to be pushed to its limits. It has a million failsafes and warning systems, it wants to stay comfortable, it doesn't want to be put in danger, it doesn't want its muscles to suffer from microtears. That's the entire reason why progressive overload works, the body adapts to you lifting heavier and heavier weights because it wants to stop feeling those things. If you never leave its comfort zone, if you quit every time it starts to tell you, "pls stop," then it will never feel the need to adapt. Don't lift with your body, lift with your mind. Stop when your brain tells you to stop, not when your body tells you to.
itt we're all giant soft carebears [editline]13th August 2013[/editline] also fuck you faggots, first chest day back in the gym, hit the incline with 165 lbs fucking shit i didnt even know i could do 165

[QUOTE=The Mute;41820928]what I said was about the 3 plate thing on deadlift. show me a picture of your quads.[/QUOTE] My webcam decided to shit on me and stop working properly so the pics are shit but here's a comparison of my quads before and my quads now. Before [t]http://i.imgur.com/HeG6HXk.jpg[/t] After, bad picture but you should be able to see a bit of the mass increase, I'll try to get a better picture later if you want. [t]http://i.imgur.com/tg5L12g.jpg[/t] While at it, I guess I'll post some of the upper body progress, it didn't grow much but there was some growth none the less. Before [t]http://i.imgur.com/6r2i5vr.jpg[/t] "After", this picture is maybe a month old but I don't believe I've progressed that much since. [t]http://i.imgur.com/3DldwWQ.jpg[/t] Don't mind the flabby shit near the waist, I'm wishing for it to go away but such is life when you used to be fat as fuk, hoping it'll unstretch back to normal levels as I don't think it's nearly serious enough to warrant a surgery, hopefully. [editline]13th August 2013[/editline] brb going from fat to skinnyfat

dat quad and back hair
Maybe its the pose but you should hit middle back/lats more (long bar rows work good and the sort) it will definetly show a lot. [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/null_zps1e3c2212.png[/Thumb]
dat tan
I'll try, my back is kind of hehh because I have no clue what the fuck I'm doing. I just do one arm DB rows and shitload of pull ups on back day because I don't know what else to do.
One arm and the one with the handle for both arms longbar rows murder my back, I switch between 3 variations of lat pull down (front, behind the head, and kinda angled upper body so its like a row), and cable rows with a 1-3 second pause at full contraction making sure to sort of roll my shoulder blades back and forth with the motion hits good too. I think its you that just has the home gym, definetly try the one arm long bar rows out then, 3-5 sets of 8-10
Yeah, I'm limited to BB and DB work at home currently, ain't got none of them cable machines and shit, I'll definitely try that one arm long bar row.
-snip- tried to reply to video, messed up. Farmers walks fucking ruin me.
[QUOTE=SpaceGhost;41832209]-snip- tried to reply to video, messed up. Farmers walks fucking ruin me.[/QUOTE] I'm going to make myself homemade handles for farmers walk, that exercise is fucking amazing. Today is back day also so I'll be trying Valon Kyre's advice of doing long bar rows ontop of my one armed DB rows and pull ups.
Alright so I could barely do any rows at the end of my workout so I assume the long bar rows did the job, I usually base my workouts on how I feel the next day like right now my pecs are fucking burning because I went balls out crazy yesterday on them.
Still in the hospital. Bye gainz. Lost 3 kg by now. Ffff-
