A little bit of progress, I find my growth a bit too slow to my taste but whatever, I'm not about to stop because I'm discontent about the speed at which i grow.
don't be, i've been struggling to gain even 5 pounds over 2 months. that's some good solid progress you've got there
Looking nice Heigou! Sorry if this is rude, but did u use to be overweight?

~275 pounds so yeah, fat as fuck.
Fuck mate you've come a long way. You're going to be sexy and ripped as fuck soon.
Managed to bench 3 reps of 85 kg today. And 7 reps of 80 kg. I'm really hoping I will be able to pull off a rep of 90 kg before I start cutting.
I'm 14 turning 15 this month.
61kg (134 lbs)
169cm (5"5'/5"6')
Started going to the gym about a year ago infrequently.
Very recently I've been going daily or at least doing some sort of lifting, trying to get fit and grain some weight & muscle for next rugby season.
Don't have any sort of stats as to what I lift, I do a lot of my own bodyweight and focus mostly on 8-12 reps over 3-4 sets rather than lifting something insane for 1 rep.

good job on starting young, one of the main regrets i see weightlifters have are that they wish they started lifting sooner
If you're lifting for Rugby season, you might want to lift more for explosiveness than for mass, 8-12 reps won't get you explosive for rugby, go for a lower amount of reps if rugby is your primary goal over mass.

holy shit you are identical to me when i started

Getting p close to 300lbs deadlift. Did 285lbs 2x3 today.
On the downside my shoulders still suck or perhaps it's my form...can't get past 100lbs for overhead press. I don't get why I've been struggling with it for so fucking long. It's my weakest lift, as my progress with it has been painfully slow.
Today was especially bad as for some unknown reason I wasn't able to finish all my reps for my 5 sets and kept having to deaload. I guess I settled for like 85lbs 3x5 or something...I don't really know because I kept failing reps and shit. I don't press with the bar far out like a noob so that it's not within the center of gravity. I don't press with my elbows not inline with my wrists. My only guess is maybe I have my grip wrong and that it's too wide/narrow (I try to grip about the same place I grip for bench press, squat, etc.)
Also I don't think I've mentioned it but I'm 5' 7" 160lbs.
nipples too pink to be asian

Point taken, I'll look into it, thanks for the feedback.

join the club, i've been stuck at 115 lb for overhead press for like 3 weeks now
from what i've read and seen, you've got your grip in the right place at shoulder width
what i do is just use the palms of my hands when extending the bar, and then using a full grip at the top for safety
i can soon press 130lbs overhead press
aww ye
[editline]3rd October 2013[/editline]
gonna go for bw in overhead press
So 100lbs isn't actually downright horrible?
As a 1RM it is. For reps it isn't too terrible.
Well 100lbs is pretty much were I'm at for rep work. I might need to deaload as I've attempted 100lbs a few times now but definitely it's not my 1rm.
Guess I don't need to fret over it too much.
There's this absolutely massive biker guy at my gym, and I mean he is huge. I swear he does reps of 100 kg above his head.
I could probably rep 225lbs a few times. I do 185lbs for quite a bit of volume.
maverick you have styrofoam muscles and the strength of 2 bears that doesnt count
Deadlifted 305lbs 1rm! No belt either.
Got compliments for it, but it was only from brahs, no chicks present at the time...
Planning on doing the strongman competition my gym is holding next saturday, and so I'll prolly aim for 315 or 325 at that.
Man I wish my gym held strongman competitions, I might actually have some sort of chance when it comes to deadlifting. I managed a rep of 155kg a couple weeks ago, I tried 157.5kg the other day but had no luck. I was feeling a bit sick this day and I knew I would have thrown up if I tried haha.
