[QUOTE=NO ONE;42958719]Just eat on a normal schedule you fuck[/QUOTE]
fuck u omg ur not my fucking mom
Squatted my record of 185 today for 4 reps (I weigh 146). Feels good to walk back home from the gym on a cold night after a good workout.
You Chinese are always the dominating the lower weightclasses in lifting. Not that 185 (kg or lbs?) is a record, but it's great for your weight.
Anyone else find that it's super easy to make strength gains if you have a good endurance foundation? I usually increase weight when I reach stupid rep ranges (~18 reps) and then easily get strength gains.
Maybe this is a stupid way of doing it, but it works for me.
no good or bad, stupid or smart, as long as it follows the basic fundamentals aka progressive overload, volume, time under tension etc then it should work its all a matter of convenience to an extent.

you know i used to always go heavy and low reps, but i feel like if you just did like 3-4 sets of 6-8 reps on a exercise and went up like 2.5 or 5lbs every week, you would keep progressing forever. yeah it works, i've been doing it for my incline bench.
Squatted 240lbs for 5 today
yeey
Progress sneaks up on ya sometimes.
i've recently made the decision to deadlift only once a month now just to give me more energy to work more on my upper back during a workout without being tire as fuc
been doing this for about 3 months now and i've noticed my squats going much higher because if it as well (which was very needed). i think i've made a good decision yes does anyone agree am i making sense
???
[editline]27th November 2013[/editline]
also doing calves 3 times a week now after workouts (only 3 exercises) and went over double my calf raising weight on the smith machine (doing 190kg for 10 reps)
this alos gives me more space on leg day to work on my quads and hamstrings as well as building my calves more throughout the week (!!) ok thats it that is my latest gym routine update fp bodybuilders *snorts creatine then floats away
yeah, deadlifting weekly is lame.
but u should probably do something for low back

i've been doing that one where you hold your legs in place on the thing and hold a plate to your chest and bend over and i guess t-bar rows kinda hit your lower back as well?
dunno what else would really hit your lower back

for massive improvements, do full range lower back hyperextensions with your bodyweight only.
when you manage 50 reps in 3 series, keep doin that for about 3 months before adding a bit of weight, 5kg is enough.
[editline]27th November 2013[/editline]
dat means a total of 150 reps u lazy fuc
[editline]27th November 2013[/editline]
for example, i'm at 25 and it's not easy i swear

Good mornings are great for lower back if performed correctly with lumbar flexion/extension.
[QUOTE=schnibbles;43010001]Good mornings are great for lower back if performed correctly with lumbar flexion/extension.[/QUOTE]
Dafuq, good mornings are a hamstring exercise. You're spine should never be going out of neutral when dealing with heavy weights.
Good mornings are both a hamstring and a lower back exercise, what muscle do you think you're putting the burden on to keep your spine neutral?
Right but the lower back is only being worked in an isometric, stabilizing manner. This guy is talking about bending at the spine during good mornings.
Oh yeah I see what you mean, you're right, generally for anything involving the lower back, especially when you're actually lifting weights with it, you don't want to bend it at all.

Yeah, your right. It's hip extension at first. I was thinking the lumbar spine might be extending a little bit on the way back up. I wouldn't say the erector spinae muscles are only contracting isometrically though. There's probably some shortening and lengthening going on too.
one could make it dynamic if here were to put the bar on the floor instead of keeping neutral position

[editline]4th December 2013[/editline]
