To clarify I was a lot shorter when I first started High School. Not sure exactly how tall but I was about 5' 8" if not a little shorter. So it's not like I put on 90lbs of muscle, but at even at 5' 8" and 99lbs I was skellator in the flesh. My goal is to get up to at least 200lbs by the end of the school year so I can say I grew 8" and doubled my weight.
i wish i had a growth spurt like that, i've only ever put on a steady 0.5 inches per year at the most.
yellow genetics
hit puberty like a fuckin train brahs. never had any huge growth spurt just a solid continuous growth

Late reply, just looking on shit to post on (bored) but welcome to being 6'4, its a gift and a curse. No matter how huge you get, you have to get stupid big (210-240 lean) to actually look big. Your arms and chest look good for your height, dont beat yourself up on your bench however. Being tall you have a long wingspan to work with making benching much harder, its not exactly a necessary exercise besides boasting about "how strong you are".
I found for developing chest when being tall anything involving cable/machine flys works infinitely better because of the long wingspan we get a wicked range of motion to work with. Be prepared to have to do a shitton more arms because when your chest and delts explode from flys it'll make your arms look too small in proportion, so you work them then everything else looks too small aaaaaaaaaand its an endless cycle.
Otherwise just aim to fill everything out right now, specifically your back and shoulders, it'll make you look like monster.
Pr's this year
Bench 100kg August
Squat 120kg October
Deadlift 150kgx2 December
OHP 60kg July
Weight, lowest 74kg February, highest 84kg December.
Its been a pretty shit year for me lifting wise, broke my ribs twice (January and May) and hyperextended my elbow (September), taking me out of the gym for a total of 5 months all together. Everytime I'd start to make progress I'd get injured and have to reset. I've managed to get a solid 2 months now though, regained my gains, and I'm about as strong as I've ever been. Heres to 4pl8 deadlift 2015.
well at least I hit a 315 bench this year.
Knees have fuarked my squat up
Knees have fuarked my powerclean and oly lifts up
but haven't had any back problems this year
overall gotten more strong and solid and thick and juicy
[editline]1st January 2015[/editline]
Goals of 2015:
5'11.5 275lbs(270lb end of track season)
405 bench
500lb atg squat
365lb clean
4.8 40 @270+lbs
nationals
[editline]1st January 2015[/editline]
also fuk deadlifts, I'm just gunna work my way up to 300+lb back extensions
I got the most ridiculous lower back pump from back extensions the other day, holy fuark
5'10 176lbs ~13-14%

i've seen it happen, it's definitely doable especially considering he's going for +270 lbs BW.
Current basic stats:
16 years old
6'4"
250lbs
~275-280 bench
~405 DL
squat: ????(don't squat heavy, have hella knee problems)
and I can row 250x5 and lat pulldown 250x5 if that matters haha
Really sucks having bad knee since I wanna play college football and I have the size and strength, its just my squat doesnt show that since I like CANT squat heavy or else my knee will just like blow up.
Its whatever though, I'll get there.

[editline]6th January 2015[/editline]
mirin your lat strength tho
Gotta eat GROTESQUE amounts of food and lift an equally as monstrous amount of weights.
K well I'll do this dickwaving thing since im bored
6'4, 214-222 @9% bf I'd guess? 19 on january 9th
Bench: dont test but I did 280 (6 pl8) for 5 on the smith machine recently I dont know what the bar counts as on a smith, 5 pounds?
Squat: 315 fer 10 fer unlimited sets or 405 for 3 really good ones
Deadlift: dont do 'em
Tricep pushdown ( V kinda bar ) 215, gotta get creative to set the machine up for this since it maxes at 97.5
Machine flys: 410 for 10+ lol, I have to max it out and then pin two 45 plates on plus a buncha little 7 pound weight stacks, still not heavy enough
Cable flys: 57.5 each arm for 13-ish reps
Long bar row: 170 or 5 plates of 35 drop setting each plate for 8 reps
Curl: idk, forearm is fucked up
Lat pulldown: 200 for 7 (fuck u diesel tractor trailor deadman and your OP lats)
Barbell shoulder press: 225 for 10
Lateral Raises: 40 pounds for 10 to complete body T before shit hits the fan and I cant lift them to T anymore
Shrugs: 315 for infinity or 405 for 10 on the smith, 130 pound dumbells for 10 and then my fingers dont want to live anymore
Pullups: 15+ I get bored so I never bother going past that
Last recorded 40 yard dash was 4.79 in the summer of 2014
^bruh you barbell shoulder press 225 for 10
u wot m8
Imagine how much he could jerk if he could jerk
I jerk my dick more than anyone here
I'm pretty much starting the new year fresh since I missed 4 out of the past 6 months lifting due to moving away, moving back, then doing a shitload of drugs and losing a lot of weight.
Started a few weeks ago 5' 9" and 152. Am now 159 and making them sweet baby gains back.
Haven't tried a 1rm but the closest I've got to gauge it is probably like 205 for 8 deadlifting and 105 for 8 bench. Makes me wanna cry considering how far I got before, but it's all coming back like a motherfucking freight train and this is the first time I've properly bulked for more than a week.
Ye shoulders are fucking retarded strong, i gotta wear a belt when pressing 225 because its really easy to fuck up and fold your spine or move in a odd way and lose a lot of upper body support. Spotter is a must too because unracking and racking that bitch is a feat in itself
I know before I graduated I cleaned 225 for 10 (holy shit I have never done anything even remotely close to how much energy that took and how much wind it too outta me. Im pretty sure after doing that I just went home and ate + slept) the same day I sort of self taught how to do it badly. Never did try jerk because the whole motion scares the hell out of me

brah i think your doing a push press, cuz 225 for 10 would mean you're benching 405+ with relative ease
I'll re-test it either today or tomorrow, I dont see you being wrong I know for a fact that behind my neck I cant hit that but on the front I can. I'll have my buddy check my form
On push press, I've been doing some push pressing along with my overhead press and it's pretty cool, I don't know if it's any help but when I feel like being a phaggot and having people THINK I actually overhead press a lot, I just do some push pressing.
I kinda look at push press as a way of complimenting the jerk. Jerks are dip+drive+dip, while push press is just dip+drive, so there is more emphasis on the press with push press. With the jerk you gotta get the lockout right.
I've started doing dip drive dip on push press, its easier to move heavy weights since its mostly hip drive but theres a lot less work for your shoulders and arms.
Well so then that's essentially a jerk then. And yes, it is easier, some think cheating, since you use momentum and your hips.
I think it's a nice complementary move to strict overhead press.
Late to my own party but I don't wear a belt or anything when I DL or squat so the nums could probably be higher there if I used one. I really don't know how much I can deadlift though as I haven't gone above 350 but that was light work so Im just guessing 405ish, at that point its not the knees though its the grip failing. Deadlifts are way easier on my knees than squats.
