But losing weight/keeping lean/gaining weight only has to do with Calories, it doesn't matter if these calories come from complex carbs or simple carbs that can cause an insulin spike or not, 2000 calories will always be 2000 calories.
As for gains, in the long run, inducing insulin spikes or not to get nutrients faster to your muscles have been shown to change very little to actual body composition to the point where it doesn't matter.

we took our heart rates, he had higher blood pressure and dystolic then me and a 80 bpm heart rate.
I'm 5'11 250 lbs and had a lower then normal bp, and a 68-70bpm heart rate
and i dont do any cardio
