Hurrdurr, yeah they do. If the cap's on tight the vapour can't escape, the pressure builds up in the tank, then the tank breaks, spraying fuel vapour out, which ignites in a fuel-air explosion.
Search BLEVE on youtube or MOAB for an extreme example of what an F-A-E can be.

No, it would cause rapid ignition. The pressure inside a gas tank is the same as the outside pressure for this very reason.

Uhh gas tanks aren't air tight for this very goddamn reason. They vent fumes and are designed to maintain a pressure consistent with the outside.

auto igniton temperature for petrol is 246 °C, pressure is irrelevant unless used to rapidly increase the fuel temperature (i.e a diesel engine). So i guess you could stick a glow lamp under the fuel tank *if they weren't plastic these days* and heat it until an explosion occurred.
Bullets are almost impossible without using a tracer round at an increased distance to allow the bullet to heat up after exit from the barrel.
