I see it's that time of year where everyone goes back to school! Mr. Red is here to teach you the difference between Furries, and Scalies.
Furry Definition:
1. Furry
Possibly the strangest sub-culture in all of geekdom. Furries range from being harmless fans fascinated by anthropomorphic characters and animals, to immensely withdrawn or self-abosrbed persons who actually believe, or want to believe, they're [b]eagle-winged fox-like[/b] versions of themselves with giant gentalia who wouldn't dare be anything else that could be considered mundane. Furries defy any coventional or unifying definition.
Scalie Definition:
1. Scalie
Scalie is a word used to describe the non fur anthropomorphic characters.
The creatures usually have scales. creatures may include:
dragons, snakes, dinosaurs and many others
As you can see, Furries have Fur, while Scalies have Scales.
Now, I will show you two pictures so you can easily tell the difference! At the bottom of my post, it will tell you if they are Furs, or Scalies, so you can try to guess yourself. If you get them wrong, don't worry, you will just learn through trail and error!

1. If you can't tell, this is NOT an type of reptile, or dragon. It is clearly illustrated by the having of fur covering it's body.
2. This is a scalie. You can tell by the lack of Fur, and because it is covered in scales.
3. This is well, just a Furry. You can tell because the suit is made from some sort of "fur" type of material. It clearly does not have any scales, and is covered in fur.
