oh shit I got a photo in the banner! O-GASM [editline]10th August 2011[/editline] heres my tip to y'all MINI WORKSHOP: Double exposure camera: lomo lc-a When doing double or triple exposures, try to work with light, dark, and color. Grids of light, like a bench, blinds or fence work really well. Also neon signs work really well. Jut try to remember what you shot last and never shoot bright places twice! ex:triple exposure, using the light and shadows on the ground, the color of the flower and pattern of the building to fill in the black 04600002 by superfunkyjam, on Flickr double exposure using the fence like I said above 04600015 by superfunkyjam, on Flickr the whole thing is when you take a double exposure picture, the dark in picture #1 will be filled in with the light of picture #2 (or #3!) but the light of picture #1 will block out the light of picture #2, if its bright enough. did I do it right?
Gah I jizzed when I learned how to back-button focus.
I set it up on mine just now, really loving it. I just hope I don't forget about it during a critical moment. :v: [editline]10th August 2011[/editline] Also it'll be entertaining seeing my friends trying to figure out why the camera isn't auto-focusing.
However, one thing I noted is that if I'm doing a Panorama I'll have to switch it so that the * Button Locks Exposure instead of focus otherwise when I shift the camera to frame up the next shots won't it cause each part to look slightly different due to the change in Aperture/Shutter Speed? This could be corrected though if I should completely in Manual for a Panorama, but my mind is in jumbles. :/

Get a shot that looks good in Auto/P/Av mode, check its settings, use those settings.
I plan to use Manual a lot now that I've worked on composition and such. My biggest issue when shooting photography right now is I'm usually walking about with my family and they're always on the move leaving me only a few short seconds to frame an image and take the photograph. Once we settle into our house I plan to go out on my own to spend hours walking the city for photo opportunities.
I reverse my metering and wheel directions on my nikons, though I never had a cannon to get in the habit. Had a pentax for my starter, I think that's at least got the canon lens rotation/removal going on.
yeah, i think nikon is backwards from most other manufacturers
