Yes, but in a good way.
It's also not really a genre, but it's pretty much the reason I voted "other" :v:
I dunno I can't stand HORSE the band
Metal, Soundtracks and Classical.

Couldn't agree with you more there.

Anything that begins with "post" is a great genre.

except for post grunge
I like pretty much all types of music (except pop and country), but i very much prefer melodic metal over anything.

Rap is more of like a harder sound. Hip Hop is rap mixed with R'nb and pop.

If anything, it should be the reverse

Hip hop is a mix of pop and rap? singing and rapping. I think so anyways.

As KRS-One said "Rap is something we do, hip-hop is something you live."

Hip hop IS rap... Jesus...
Rap is like talking with a rythm. Hip Hop isn't always necessarily talking.
Anyway, voted R&B for Blues.

post rock isn't that great
[editline]05:29PM[/editline]
I mean fuck how do you define it
post rock is easily defined. have you ever looked up a post rock band? it's pretty much using rock instruments in non-rock styled music. Note that post-punk and post-hardcore have VERY little in common with post-rock itself.

I just seriously love the vocal styles, and the lyrics involved. I also love the instruments in it, it all just blends together really well.
For me at least :)

Isn't post-punk like, progressive punk? That is, wider range of instrument, toying with odd time signatures etcetera
math rock

Nah, not really.
I love post-punk, but even I have trouble defining it. It's not "progressive" though. It's just... different.
