When there is no threat, and only one leader, that leader is free to do what ever he or she wants. And that will nearly always mean revocation of human rights and freedoms just to make governing everyone easier.
Though when there is only one leader, revoking human rights, people will rebel.
That's where the whole anonymousness comes in. If there's no clear leader, there's nobody to rebel against. Or at least, the people couldn't come together, since every country would have their own puppets given all the blame, and only said countries people would care. And even if the puppet leader would fall, it wouldn't be a problem for a organization that runs the world to just replace him. The puppets would only need money, lots of money. And that individually for every single "puppet government" in each country.
There's this kid in my school (a bit autistic or something, I think) that was at my lunch table for a day, he thought I was his best friend.
He turned over a dollar bill he had, and pointed out the pyramid on the back.
"See this? It's the Illuminati's symbol! Why else would it be there?"
I told him that it was actually a famous symbol aging back to the ancient Egyptians. Then he said:
"Well, you'll see when the Illuminati finds you and kills you."
Besides, why would they leave little "clues" and messages around the media? It's like creating a super secret plan to take over the world, and just for fun, leaving little clues and secret messages around about it.
Another thing: The entire "eye of illumination" or whatever the fuck it's called isn't originally an Illuminati symbol. If that's in a movie, it doesn't mean OMG ILLUMINATI. Same with "9/11". Just because that date is shown in a movie prior to September 11th doesn't mean that it is some strange prediction of it.
Unfortunately there is not much one could do if they rebel other than exclude themselves from the system. If money is all electronic transaction, then rebellions would Would be fundless.
The one world government system is about excluding the undesirables. This includes people who wont submit.
It's a very fascist concept.
Edit:
Theres also a lot of misconception here. The Illuminati organization isn't a secret organization. It is well known all over the world, in one context or another, everybody has heard that word.
It's not the group that is secret, but the people who are apart of it that the majority of them remain anonymous.
Also, the all seeing eye may not be a new symbol, but that doesn't matter. It's not about the origins of the symbol, but what it means to the cult.
Hilter didn't create the swastika from his own imagination.
It was a Buddhist symbol long before hitler got his hands on it. The origin of a symbol means nothing when it is used by someone else with alternate intentions.
there also are 13 stripes on the American flag, just because it goes with the same idea of symbolism and going for an intellectual countries based on smart symbols as the goal was to clearly show a difference between the old simple authoritarian nations and the new ones where people are free to think and be intelligent.
Isn't it 13 stripes for the original 13 colonies?

Nonsense if I were running a secret organization I would make sure to have a complex symbolic code through which I would leave messages all over for anyone to find. Clearly the best way to make sure power stays in the hands of an elite few is to assume that no one can figure out the symbolism that we've left around for shits and giggles.
if "subconscious" and subliminal advertising had any of the power conspiracy theorists attribute to it in their excuse for finding symbolism where it doesn't exist, we'd definitely see regimes like north Korea using it for indoctrinating nationalism, but we don't; why? because it's not effective
also; freemasonry is just one of the many groups formed in the 16th century by nobility, its a prestigious club like the French Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur, any rumors of their "power" were and still are greatly exaggerated by people who want the hubris feeling of holding the forbidden apple of knowledge

I'd like to point out that sublimal influencing is a concept that works very well and is being researched fairly deeply.
The thing is, the basis of this influencing is based on the fact that your target must believe they have reached said conclusion and decision themselves. As a result it's something amazing in marketing. But at the same time, it's not something that can completely shake up the belief system of a person.
It DID exist but it wasn't anything that powerful.

That's pretty much it. You can look for patterns in anything, and find hidden messages if you really look for them.
For instance, why are there so many orange and blue media covers recently?
Let's see here, what else is orange and blue...

Ah, the Prince's Flag! That must mean that the Dutch Prince is running the media, how didn't we see this before?
Then, you start noticing things like this:

Well, honestly, if people are going to start saying shit about reptile god symbols being everywhere and taking ANYTHING AT ALL that MIGHT or MIGHT not be 'connected', then how do you seriously expect people to stay serious? After all, its a crazy topic, and many 'out of touch' people believe the illuminate are after them and that Obama is a 'reptile'.
people take any song about rain, or anything, and turn it into "ILLUUUMMMINATTIIIIIII rain man omg!" without looking at the social symbol rain actually is. Same thing with slight hints. They don't calculate any one reason as to why its there, how, or what purpose it serves. In other words, near paranoid schizo mentality.
This thread is turning into a mockery, rather than a debate.
There's nothing to debate. People like to think the world is out of their control and it's not their fault if shit blows up. People also like to think they know more than others.
If the Illuminati existed, why would they let Alex Jones be alive for informing people of their existence?
Oh wait, Alex Jones is an entertainer with a nice fat wallet from entertaining, the Illuminati doesn't exist.
I can find anything that looks kind of like an eye and create some conspiracy around it. Heck, scroll all the way to the top of this page and look at the top right corner. AN EYE. GARRY'S IN ON IT TOO!
Also, a so called group of people engraved in our history and influenced our world to become what it is today does a piss poor job at hiding its plans apparently.

Honestly, even if they existed, removing Alex Jones from the picture would do nothing. The man is a nut.
And yes, a simple heart attack / car crash would cover his death up, its extremely common. So if they were to almighty and "All seeing" and wanted to, doing so would be easy.

I mean really, who the hell is going to question that mans heart. he seems to give himself extremely high blood pressure.
The Illuminati were historically real, read up:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illuminati
However, I don't see them influencing any governments nowadays, for better or worse.
There's no factual evidence that I've seen that would point to the Illuminati still being an influential power in modern day politics.
Plus, it says the Illuminati were basically ruined by 1787 because of internal conflicts and the eventual fleeing of the founder.
If it did exist we would never know about it anyway.

+1 agree.
Even if they existed. Today, why would they be so revealing that they exist? why are they putting 'symbols' everywhere and whats the purpose of this? At least as people claim.
Maybe its to mock people, "we exist but you can't find us", give a show of power. Regardless, I've honestly seen people taking anything they could possibly get to point towards the Illuminati, without questioning it. like Chezhead intelligently said, you can find patterns, symbols everywhere. The issue is, determining the real reason why the patterns/symbols are there, coincidence or a non-illuminati reason, symbolic reason.

I think it's important to understand the underlying historical truth behind the theory before you start bashing it to pieces with "ITS CRAZY AND IMPOSSIBLE HAHA YOURE A NUT".
Obviously it's nothing more than a theory, there's no evidence pointing to the Illuminati even continuing to exist, let alone controlling major political figures in modern politics, but I think you should at least be fair and come from a rational and understanding point of view before you try to disprove any theories, no matter how crazy.
If people, both theorists and skeptics alike, did more actual RESEARCH into the topics they were either promoting or bashing, they'd have an understanding that there is a hint of truth to every theory, but in most cases, they just aren't plausible in the slightest.
For example, yes, there are plenty of masonic symbols floating around United States buildings, documents, and our money as well.
And yes, many influential people in the founding of our country were notable freemasons. Does this mean they were trying to take over the world? No. But it does mean that they were involved in secret societies, and it's interesting to actually research these societies and come to your own conclusion, rather than bashing a theory just because there are crazy proponents of it.

From what I've seen, people believe the Illuminati are satanists trying to destroy the world.
Even if a secret society exists, the morals and ideals are going to differentiate from other SS's. There could be thousands of SS's, but calling it "the illuminati" is insulting because "The" implies that there's only one.
SS's I agree are real, however, far different from what the mainstream media calls them, a Secret society in my eyes is simply a group that just happens to be private and has a name, and a goal, nothing more or less, that's all they are. The Illuminati as an idea itself is just insane.

I don't disagree. What I'm saying is that all that is irrelevant as this thread is about people controlling the world now and having pop culture make symbols to do with triangles and eyes. While it may have roots in the actual historical group, that doesn't make it any more legitimate.

Well yeah but technically there is only one Illuminati, as far as I know.
People just refer to everything as the Illuminati because it's the most prevalent, so when people are just recycling stuff they heard from someone else rather than doing their own research, they'll just jump to Illuminati immediately.
I think conspiracy theories are fun to research, because even though the bottom line of most of them (Galactic conquest by Obama's reptillian Queen overlord hammy sammyals jdfas) are utter bullshit, you still discover some pretty interesting stuff that is founded in fact. It's a pretty fun goose chase :v:

The fact that the Illuminati are proven to have existed and the founding members escaped without any further records actually does make the theory more legitimate.
Obviously it doesn't make it true, but if you're trying to build a case and say that the Illuminati are controlling the world, proving that they at least exist(ed) is kind of important.
But either way, that's why I said in my post that I don't think it's possible for them to be controlling the world, there's no factual evidence pointing to that conclusion.

Tin foil just amplifies the radio waves that they use to read your brain. The same people reading our brains uses tin foil as an aid because we're too ignorant to know it makes it better for them.
There are a few simple reasons why the Illuminati, if they still exist, could not possibly run the entire world, or even a nation. The amount of people you would have to corrupt in order to not have its existence revealed is absolutely preposterous. Not to mention the fact that it is discussed as a "secret society" basically means that any time someone questions just how they're able to magically manipulate world governments, they can just say "it's a secret".
The stuff about symbols is equally ridiculous, no secret society worth anything would leave clues around, and even if they did why were they so inept that people like the OP were able to decipher it?
Personally, I think people believe this because it is a simple solution. It basically attributes most of the worlds greed and negativity to a single elite, not the entire population. Besides, humans love over-analyzing.

You got a good point here. It's simply too hard to keep it a secret. If it were real, I would imagine some of them would at least record any secret meetings. And if it existed for such a long time, there ought to be successors. And those successors might in turn be more negative, and do such a thing.
