My sister once performed at some event some Freemason group had organised. She said that all of them looked like balding middle aged accountants. It's basically just a club for circle jerking.
Your sister performed at a circle jerk?
oh man....
Joking aside, i don't understand how you people do not understand this concept. The Illuminati its self was NEVER intended to be some sort of secret society.
However the reason it is called a secret society is because 99% of the members hide the fact that they are part of it.
And then you guys go and get confused saying "how is it a secret society if i know about it?"
Well, no shit you know about it!!! But tell me this, have you ever met someone who told you they were part of it? THATS THE SECRET PART.
Can you wrap your feeble minds around that?
You're right, there's obviously an incredibly intricate, long running and completely clandestine drug operation of international proportions with the sole purpose of instilling fear "for the lulz."
I've always wondered why conspiracy nuts always blame the CIA when there are plenty of other organizations out there that are better suited for certain operations.
'for the lulz'? That is why you think they do it?
Way to prove you're entirely ignorant on this subject. They actually have a very good reason for doing it.

could it not just be corporate interest and deep seated corruption? There's evidence of shit like that, the illuminati stuff is all just speculation really.
I always find it funny how people go 'OMG secular new order guys' when that was the original basis of the united states: A secular order in the new world (the americas) where people could worship their own religions and denominations without oppression.

I do, my grandfather, grandmother and mother were (well, still are) members of the Freemasons, and with luck I'll be one as well.
omg the amount of ignorance in this thread is proposterous. People do your fucking research of course one world government is real. And no, having the illuminati eye in kids cartoons doesn't mean fuck all and no it doesn't mean the governemtn went out of their way to pay scripters and movie makers to put certain symbols in their shows/movies, but it's the creators/writers/producers themselves who are aware of the illuminati's presence and their actions.
I'm late to this thread but i knew entering this thread would frustrate me a bit. People need to do their fucking research, the illuminati isn't a fucking conspiracy theory, it's real and it's happening.
Population control is the next phase
Didn't you troll me on youtube for disproving you at one point? If I remember correctly I actually linked you to an article on FP about the FEMA myths. [sp]yeah I know this is kind of offtopic[/sp]
The Misconception: You take randomness into account when determining cause and effect.
The Truth: You tend to ignore random chance when the results seem meaningful or when you want a random event to have a meaningful cause.
http://youarenotsosmart.com/2010/09/11/the-texas-sharpshooter-fallacy/
read the article and you'll find out why I think it's all immagination.
They existed back when scientist were strung up and burnt, and there are probably some people who identify themselves as Illuminatus, but the actual society itself is long dead and it never had as much influence as conspiracy theorists say.
I do, my grandfather, grandmother and mother were (well, still are) members of the Freemasons, and with luck I'll be one as well.
I'm not referring to the freemasons.
I'm referring to illuminati members.
Freemasons aren't a secret society either, for most masons, if you ask them if they are a part of it they don't mind saying so.
You wanna know the real reason we see so many pyramids as symbols and so many pictures of the Eye of Horus? Remember the roman empire and how it supposedly collapsed? Guess what, it didn't. It just ceased to be a state and became a religious institution. It still had massive amounts of authority over the kings and tyrants all throughout the middle ages and still has a large amount of power. The same thing happened with the Egyptian empire, except it continued on as very secretive cults instead of a religious institution out in the open. The cooperation between Egypt and Rome didn't end when Rome became christian, it just went underground, and as Rome still has power as the catholic church so too does Egypt still have power through secret societies, and they communicate to each other not through spoken or written word but through symbols as they did through out their empire with hieroglyphics and structures. If you look at architecture, carvings and paintings in the Vatican you can see the All Seeing Eye of Horus everywhere, even behind the pope's throne (which also has an upside down cross on it lol)

the upside down cross is a Christian symbol... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross_of_St._Peter

If i was part of a secret world government, i would love to fuck with people and leave silly symbols.
I think the Illuminati does exist.
I just like hearing about stuff like V.F.D. and so on.

well there's still a lot of weird stuff about the layout, architecture, sculptures and paintings in the Vatican as well as many other major cities.

Actually, a retard by the name of David Icke came up(or rather made up) with the idea that space lizards ruled the world from behind the scenes.

Why is it so hard for you to believe that an empire as great as the Egyptian empire that lasted LONGER than the time between now and when it supposedly collapsed isn't still going in some form or another? Its not like I'm saying alien lizards built the pyramids or the CIA is constantly reading everyone's mind.

Because that's kinda what happens with great empires, once you set the wheels turning for collapse and let them run for a couple centuries, it's kinda hard to just get them to stop after a few years. But they are sorta still going on, it's not like once the Roman Empire collapsed it simply disappeared, it was simply replaced because the alternatives were better.
It's arguable all the Egyptian symbols are because the Freemasons have supposed ties to the Knights Templar, which were heavily inspired by ancient Egyptian architecture (the order was founded, I believe, in Alexandria after all.)
I do believe in secret societies. But I can understand people who don't.
It all seems so stupid with all this soul selling and symbolizing. People believing in this stuff is usually seen as idiots. Which is what I thought at first.
But we got all the video games, tv-shows, movies and such to keep us distracted from this to even give it a thought.

Well the Vatican has been using those symbols for longer, I think the Knights Templar were sent over to recover some Jewish and Egyptian artifacts from the Temple of Solomon (or remnants of it) but I bet the Vatican had plenty of artifacts and knowledge left over from the Egyptian Empire, after all as I said before it was a semi-continuation of the Roman Empire, they even called the lands they ruled over the Holy Roman Empire. Imagine what would happen if people that weren't part of the hierarchy looked in the Vatican vaults and revealed the buried secrets of the city on seven hills.
Yes the Knight templars were the first freemasons because they found something under a destroyed mosque, something that had to do with king soloman some people say they found the kabbalah but thats just a theory.

The Holy Roman Empire was neither an empire, holy, or even remotely Roman, it was a confederation of German kingdoms. Besides with the exception of the Teutonic Order, most other Orders were roughly French or British.

Who had the highest authority in that "empire"? There are many points when through threat of excommunication the pope was able to have a huge influence over kingdoms that weren't even part of the holy roman empire. It was the Catholic Church and the Catholic Church alone that was able to rally all of Europe together under one banner for the Crusades. If a populous believes (wrongfully mind you) that the pope has the ultimate authority of god, who are they going to follow when their king does something the supposed messenger of god doesn't like?
