Honestly, I thought the third episode was kind of cheesy as well.
Everyone usually recommends Sonic Rainboom, I think it's episode 17. It really is a good one so, if you don't care about chronological order, start with it.

but the show is driven by a greedy company who recolors their old toys and labels them as "new" and since it's driven purely by the sales its not gonna last long.
That just disturbs me more than anything, thinking about all this joy the show has brought to millions of people across the globe, just to be carelessly tossed aside by the third season. Not because of low ratings, no. The show probably will have the highest cable ratings of any cable show ever. Only because they're not getting money for their stupid re-hashed toys.
But, when that time comes, we'll face that problem. For now, let's just enjoy what we have while we can, no?
