It differs from most things targeting adults which are always about sex, money, scandals, or violence. A "yay pony" break cheers me up and brightens my mood and day. the little entourage/community it has is almost like an extension of that, you just have to ignore the people who are there for 34. But since you asked, it's; well animated, got top notch voice acting, surprisingly decent plots, well rounded characters and jokes that easily outclass most recent sitcoms. That's enough for me.

No one likes everything, you'll find naysayers in every group, but that doesn't mean the thing they don't like is at fault. It just means people have different taste.
