Eh, as far as I'm concerned the thought of this effecting your "masculinity" is kind of pointless. I'm not sure where, along the path of humanity, the idea of masculinity developed, but it seems more demoralizing to hold yourself higher than things like this than actually subjugating yourself to it. And how could they NOT make Scootaloo Dash's sister? It would have made absolute perfect sense. Sure, it might be an odd coincidence that of the 6 main cast, 3 have younger sisters who have yet to get their cutie marks and join up together as a team, but it still would have made more sense then what really happens.
