It's banned from SA because it's literally a show for preteen girls that men ages 30 and older are sperging over. They literally dissect the characters of the ponies and the plot for each episode as if they are some sort of deep film with a rich plotline (it's not). If anything it's a thinly veiled marketing ploy for a child's toy.
It's a goddamn show about ponies that solve problems with magic and friendship and all that grabage that makes preteen girls wet. It's like carebears basically, except with an art style that is based more on bezier curves and a large amount of straight lines (presumably because it cuts down on production costs - it's probably not an art style decision at all).
How does nobody see this as a reason to socially ostracize people who literally obsess over this show? It boggles the mind. We aren't trolling anyone, we are applying logic to the situation. If your friend who is in his late teens/ early twenties starts sperging over a show developed for preteen girls wouldn't you start questioning his sexuality/intelligence?
This amount of spam is what caused all the shitstorm on /co/. New content and actual discussion is worthy of posting. But most of the chat here is some weird meta chat about the existence of the discussion in the first place.
