I probably wouldn't do something like video commentary, despite loving to talk with the new rig I set my microphone with. I'd probably just end up rambling. I always love to write up a bit of my own thoughts and try to see deep into a picture, even if the artist didn't really put as much thought into them as I do v:v:v
Submission Report: 4 in Photography 2 in Drawing 1 in 3D Nobody feel rushed or anything. I know it takes time to either get out to places, finish details on a good drawing, or, you know, do anything in 3D. Also, I've made an official Countdown to when I'll cut the contest. It ends August 23rd at 0:00 CENTRAL US time (-6 gmt, -5 with daylight savings? I hate figuring these numbers out :raise:) from right now, it's 8 days, 8 hours and 30 minutes
Do you put every submission in to those categories, or have you had some sort of screening process before hand?
Why isn't the thread sticky anymore?
Why isn't the thread sticky anymore?
He didn't use super glue, just the regular kind.
wait I'm confused. People are already submitting? I thought it was for finished work?
it's not stickied because garry hates stickies. I made sure it was up for a few days so everyone had a chance to see it. Think we should put it back up? I think it'd be fine for another few days if y'all think so. and dog-gy, the submissions are mostly works that people have recently done, though not expressly for the contest. I probably should have made a rule to start a new piece for the contest, but whatever. The works are all pretty good thus far and I'd be happy to let them stay submitted.

Ah. Well I'm werkin on one :v:
Wait so people submitted work that aren't finished? I thought we could only put in finished stuff...
Mine was half-assed in about 10 minutes, but at least it was finished.
it's all finished, it's just they were already working on stuff and it happened to fit the bill, so they submitted it as they finished. One's kinda iffy, but he gave a pretty solid explaination on why it fits the contest so it's in.
There are no size requirements/restrictions, right? Other than common sense
obviously, haha.
320x240 should be the max :buddy:

it is. The guy who submitted it admitted he isn't from this section, but wanted to give it a go. :buddy:
So there is no kind of theme that you shall go after?
So there is no kind of theme that you shall go after?
"Old and Forgotten" "What does this mean? anything you want it to... kinda. It's meant to cover a broad range, but still sticks to a thought or two of old, decrepit, scary and haunted things of the past (or future? Post-apocolyptica is fine). Do what you want, so long as you can explain how it fits the theme."
on it
Brian's Pictures
Damn I hate when I find old forgotten coconuts lying around, it's worse than walking on eggshells... I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to post your entries into this thread.
Erm, did you read the op fully karlhungus?
Argh, I was over at an old steel mill yesterday. I didn't have my camera :frown:
on it
thanks for the quick re-edit. Remember, you have to choose one, unless they're combined in a single image as one larger piece of art.
Um, is it possible to re-sumbit an entry? I kind of want to change something in mine :x
Um, is it possible to re-sumbit an entry? I kind of want to change something in mine :x
sure. Just remember to note that you want that specific one, so I know which to pass up when collecting them from my inbox at the end
I left my tablet at uni so I'm doing it all by mouse... I've done several hours every day and I'm still only half way through :/
Time to break out the watercolour paints. Also Dai, have there been any traditional artworks under the drawing category that have been submitted? Curious is all.
