I'm wondering how comparing drawing to photography is going to work.
I'm wondering how comparing drawing to photography is going to work.
aint gonna be judged like that. read OP Edit: i freaking beat the man him self by milli seconds.
they're not being compared to each other, just to their own groups. it's like 3 mini-contests.
I'm wondering how comparing drawing to photography is going to work.
Creativity will first of all play the biggest role, as we've already stated your equipment doesn't play a role. So creativity, and technical execution more or less mixed in with subjective feelings of who did the theme the best. So we have to judge each piece individually based on what it is and look at it's technical qualities bound to that medium and them compare them up to eachother and see who did best overall.
they're not being compared to each other, just to their own groups. it's like 3 mini-contests.
But they have to be compared to each other in order to come up with the winner.
But they have to be compared to each other in order to come up with the winner.
there can be servral winners, have you seen all the prices he got?
I was thinking a winner from each category, but given the size of the prize pool, let's say this- we'll come up with a 'winner' from each category, then of the 3 choose who did the best overall. They get first pick of the prizes (which is probably going to be that guitar, provided 1chains1 says it's still up for grabs).
there can be servral winners, have you seen all the prices he got?
With so few participants I didn't think we would give out prizes to more than one. But I guess above post proves me wrong. I especially find it a bit silly with a prize for 3D when there is only two submissions.
Well saying "fuck you, no price since we are too few" is a bit late now.
very true. Should divide the prizes into Major/Minor. 2nd/3rd should be minor.
Well saying "fuck you, no price since we are too few" is a bit late now.
I didn't say that. I said one prize for the best submission overall from the three categories. That's what I've always thought and always got out of the OP and from our discussions around the contest before we even made it. I said it would be silly to give out prizes for each category when there is only two submissions in 3D.
How strange the change from major to minor. Thanks for the answers.
11 hours people. DGG, we need to get a hold of 1chains1 to make sure any of his stuff is still up for grabs.

It's like running a contest between lions, orangutans, and elbow squid for best in show.

It's not so much about how things are made, but how they are and what they are. They are all mediums that try to do the same thing, just differently and we'll do our best to keep the limits of each medium in mind whilst judging.
Major- Epiphone Hybrid Guitar Mini Amp Telescope w/3 lenses Adesso Tablet Minor Topaz Labs Photoshop Suite Books Poster Design by 1chains1 Overall winner can choose from either pool, runners up only have minor to select from. also the term 'elbow squid' confused me. NO BONES :argh:

Can we opt to only take the prize we want and give everyone else the other things? 'Cause I wouldn't have a need for anything other than the guitar and amp.
Can we opt to only take the prize we want and give everyone else the other things? 'Cause I wouldn't have a need for anything other than the guitar and amp.
? Winner can pick one of the prizes of his wish. The two runner ups can pick whichever one that is in the minor branch. You can only pick one prize.
You can only pick one prize.
What good's a guitar without an amp? Just kidding, at this point I'd be happy to just win.
you can still play it. What good is an amp without an guitar?
Plug it up to your computer :v:
What good's a guitar without an amp? Just kidding, at this point I'd be happy to just win.
Who said it was electrical? :v: And it's not like you can't save up the money for an amp, or wait until the next contest that has that price available and win it.
ITT Bicker about your prizes before you win them.
I would choose the poster. If it's a huge one then yes.
All done, it was fun
you can still play it. What good is an amp without an guitar?
Plug it into your sterio then blast it loud as to annoy your neighbours.
Plug it in your ass? Fart with the power of a thousand suns
they could be a joint prize I suppose. But, I'd assume anyone who likes that stuff would have a guitar and amp they already dink around with. v:raise:v
