Wasn't that officer suspended without pay anyways?
hezzy
8.15% here :smug:
You are so damn stupid
Luckily, I've always lived in places with nice cops.
I personally live in Oro Valley, which statistically has the largest Officer per capita rating in the U.S.
the only cops that are bad are the bald ones
I live in a city with very little crime. So I never really see the cops.
Fun fact, my city's population is only 8% Black according to the census.
I beat you with .7% black population,
What can i say?
Welcome to Amercia :)
OP is ranting about a very small minority, not the majority. Everyone knows this and the world isn't perfect. This is not threadworthy.
I always treat officers with respect and value their roles in keeping the peace. I've had encounters and talks with officers many times as a victim but I have only received one pitiful moment of respect from an officer for calling an ambulance for a man who had been left to die after an accident.
"Good job kid"
I will still never hold the entire force in contempt. If I run into a new officer it's a clean slate, just like meeting a new person.
I have yet to meet a bad cop. Even when I was pulled over for speeding and didn't have insurance on me. The officer was nice and didn't give me any shit. He just looked me up on his computer and, saw that I did have insurance and let me go with a warning. Maybe if people didn't have such a FUCK DA POLICE attitude when they had to deal with police they'll realize they're just human beings too.
Yeah some of the American Police is stupid. I live in Texas and they are stupid. When I lived in England the police weren't that bad, but then again I was 7 so I don't recall.
Texas is too big of a place where you can outright assume "I live in Texas and they are stupid." Every Texas cop that I have met, whether they're state troopers or simple district police has been nice.
those are some really petty things im sure all of us break sometime, and he probably had a good reason to do some of them except for the coffee
Well I have never parked in front of a fire hydrant OR parked in a handicap, and would never even think of doing it.

Fuck the PLOICE!
They're idiots.
My dad used to own a semi automatic rifle (Australia), and when they became illegal, a bunch of them went to his house, and asked him to bring the gun to them. And they also wanted him to unload it.
Then again, Australia.

So? Why the fuck do you need to own a Semi Automatic rifle? It isn't the polices fault that you're breaking the law.

Keep in mind this was only a couple of days after they became illegal. And as for the rifle, theres a quite alot of people you can ask that same question.

Well I mean, it kind of sucks they banned guns, but the way I see it, no one should own a gun. There is no reason to, unless you hunt.
Couldn't your dad have sold it before they impounded it?
He was probably notified of the law being passed, his own fault for keeping it.
But then he would be imprisoned for supplying illegal firearms!
saw a cop shoot a girl in the head for no reason at all
that would be hilarious
Last week end a cop called me a dick :(
where i live, cops are bloody incompetent but their incompetence makes them fucking scary
They once shot a kid on a motorcycle with a learners permit in the head because he wasn't pulling over
next time cops please dont tell someone when he's listening to his ipod to pull over when you are about 1 km away then shoot him for not responding when he's listening to his ipod
This seems completely made up
Source? Something like that would be all over local newspapers
I got taken from my friends home at 3AM by the police at my door on suspected criminal damage charges. They took my fingerprints, a mugshot, my clothes and threw me in a cell for 12 hours with absolutely nothing to do. After the 12 hours was up I had to plead my case in a recorded interview with an investigator.
And I was completely innocent.
They found me not guilty through lack of sufficient evidence. No shit, I didn't do it. But the fuckers haven't even apologized and still have my mugshot and goddamn fingerprints which is a pisstake because I have absolutely no criminal record. Non at all.
What makes it even worse is the insignificance of the crime I was suspected for. Pulling off the back windscreen wiper off a car.

what
why would you do that
that's like going into somebody's house and stealing all their forks.
it makes no sense.
All the genuine police I've met have been nice, community support officers get a real tough time where I live simply because everyone knows they can't do anything other than request police support.

What country is this?
What country is this?
Great Britain. I live in London.
I don't understand why people are making such a huge deal when they ask you to search your bag in a store. Only thing you're doing is making yourself look like someone who did steal something and it's wasting both your and the store manager's time. Just let them take a look at it and hear them say "OK" and walk off.
Cops are generally nice here as long as you have an ID with you. I've seen people getting fined for small things like throwing shit on the ground, or even cycling through places where you are not allowed to cycle, probably because they didn't carry an ID. Then they get fined for not having an ID + the original fine.
I've been stopped for both multiple times and each time I got away with just a warning because I apologized and picked up the thing I threw on the ground. They say 'Alright, this time only a warning blabla' and you thank them and go.
People with power have the capacity to abuse that power, and sometimes do.
No shit guys.
It seems to me, that a LOT of these stories are made up. Come on, a cop shooting someone in the head for not pulling over? That's a load of bullshit. That's completely against jurisdiction, and would basically land the cop in jail. Unless it was somewhere like, Iran or something.
Also, cops need to take a (between two and four) year course in a good college/university, and get accepted in a police force. It's not just, hand in your resume and you're in. I've just completed my courses and am registered in the RCMP. It's awesome, it's like the CSI of Canada.
