You don't have to even be that fit IIRC, the only thing stopping me ATM is a manual(stick) drivers licence. :/
is that a real thing are there seriously driver's licenses that say you can drive a stick tbh driving a stickshift isn't hard so you shouldn't really have that much trouble getting one of those
How would they be "bullshit." They are what really give an officer a job. It's what gives them the right to pull someone over, its the reason people dont get killed in domestics when they are standing outside, its the reason they can catch suspects.
I'm not saying the inherent principle is bullshit, I'm saying the way they're used as to the 4th Amendment is usually bullshit. It's an easily manipulated axiom in such a circumstance.
These damn cops on motorbikes were driving down the cycling road. Should've fined eachother as there was 3 of em.

To be completely honest I don't "Hate" police but all except for one instance I was mistreated by police for no reason what-so-ever. I'll describe the instances verbatim. First instance. My friends and I were walking through the local park at around 11pm. Two officers came running up to us telling us to stay where we were. We had no clue what was going on. They put extremely bright lights in our eyes and started ordering us to show them our ID's. I did but my other friends didn't because it's not required to. One of them stayed with us while the other one took my ID and walked just out of earshot and had about a five min convo on radio about god knows what. Still by this time we had no clue why we were being retained. He finally came back and started asking us tons of questions which we had no obligation to answer such as Where are you going, Why are you out here at this hour, where were you before. So finally I asked why we they were doing this and one of the officers got very rude and told me he was asking the questions. Then the other officer asked us what time it was and we told them sometime around eleven. They then told us the park closed at 11 and that we were trespassing on public property and we could be charged with trespassing, as well as some other bs they made up on the spot and started talking back on the radio about how many cells they had in the jail that night. Luckily some person decided Drunk driving was a good idea and they got a call about a drunk driver in the area so they finally let us go. Mind you about 85% of this entire time we had no clue what we were doing wrong. Second encounter, The good one. I was on my way to a friends house to make Halloween costumes. I had a red beret as well as some army fatigues in the back of my truck. Some cop started following me for a few miles and I was getting really nervous so I didn't realize the speed limit had changed as well as I had missed my turn so I realized this all at once and I put on my brakes and changed lanes, As soon as I did so he turned on his lights and I pulled into the next parking lot. He came up to my car and asked how fast I was going; I honestly didn't know. He told me I was going 52 in a 35 as well as driving erratically, He asked what the uniform and beret were in the back and I told him I had family friends in the military who let me have the gear. He checked my ID then asked me why I was driving like I was and I told him that I was nervous because he had been following me for a while and he told me It was ok he understood and then let me go. Third, Bad- My friends and I were longboarding downtown at around 2am one night. We stay on the roads because law where we live defines skateboards as vehicles and legally allowed on the road, They are treated the same as bicycles. So we were just longboarding around the unpopulated and non busy sections of downtown when a police van pulled us over. Some lady got out and started yelling at us telling us we were being disobedient not complying with orders as well as endangering the lives of everyone around us. Mind you she started yelling this stuff as soon as she stepped out of the van. We got off our boards and asked her what was wrong, She began this whole spew of how what we were doing was highly illegal and told us to get off the road, I asked her I we could ride on the sidewalk she yelled back NO. I asked where I may ride and she told me the local skate park. I kindly told her that It was under construction as well as the fact it closes at 10 she then started yelling about how I was challenging her authority and being a nuisance. Finally she just decided to leave and we began skating again, Sure enough about an hour later she pulled us over again and started the whole deal over again about how we didn't listen and we were getting arrested this time. I asked her to state where it says in the book that it was illegal to use our boards as a form of transportation. She told me she would find it so she pulled out a book and went through it for about ten minutes and closed it. I asked her if she found it and she yelled "NO its in the other book" So she pulls out another book and spends about another 10 min in it before finding nothing. Then I asked again and she said no. So I asked her is it legal for me to ride on the asphalt and she said yes, I then asked why we kept getting pulled over. She didn't say and then told us to go home again and drove off. I have other instances but that is enough wall of text for now. But from my experiences most cops approach a group of young adults with the entirely wrong attitude and instantly assume we are causing problems which then makes us take offence because we had just been stereotyped which no one likes.
It seems to me, that a LOT of these stories are made up. Come on, a cop shooting someone in the head for not pulling over? That's a load of bullshit. That's completely against jurisdiction, and would basically land the cop in jail. Unless it was somewhere like, Iran or something. Also, cops need to take a (between two and four) year course in a good college/university, and get accepted in a police force. It's not just, hand in your resume and you're in.
The one kid he's talking to is clearly being passive-aggressive.
And what is the cop?
Police are generally complete morons who are just in it for a power trip, the main reason I dislike them is because they just look for excuses to invade your privacy, bill you on behalf of the city/state, and are trained to trick people into giving up their rights. Cops can essentially search your person, your house, your bags, and detain you as long as they want by tricking you into waiving your rights away. Obviously they aren't all bad though, and when you have a pleasant encounter with a cop it makes your day great (At least makes mine great), because it's always nice to see good people doing good things.
I live in a city with very little crime. So I never really see the cops. Fun fact, my city's population is only 8% Black according to the census.
1% here, and there's crime fucking constantly, last week a house got raided and turned out to be a meth lab. a year or so ago, a house fucking EXPLODED 10 blocks away from my house, when they searched the remains for a cause, they found beakers and flasks everywhere.
And what is the cop?
A big meany?
A big meany?
No, he was acting like an average cop.
Most officers in the UK can be friendly and even nice to talk to. But you can get ticketed for the most stupidest reasons. I understand the whole you don't need to just be safe you need to feel safe thing. But it has resulted in me being ticketed a bunch of times for acting suspicious and also being frisked for dangerous objects. Once waiting for my friend at a local shop which I understood. The was a jeep driving round for a while and even I found it strange. It went around the shop four or five times. So about ten or fifteen minutes later a car pulls up and two plain clothes police officers approach me and ask what I'm doing. Of course I reply "waiting for a friend". They then reply "it's a bit late for you to be waiting for friends". So I say "it's 12:30 on a Friday night we always meet here". They then proceed to ask questions where I've been, where I'm going. So here comes my problem proof of identity. I carry no ID with me unless I go to bars. So the police wanted a number from me to call a parent or relative of some kind. Now I'm only travelling 25 minutes up the road and meeting a mate to go to a local 24 hour tesco and I had lost my phone around that time when rushing out of my house to go college a few days ago. So at this point I'm actually thinking I'm going into a station. As they were getting more details from me. I then see my mate in the distance as he starts jogging up and asks what's going on. Now this is the as I can only explain the "fucked" part. He tries to lend a hand in explaining we aren't up to any mischief. But police being police tell him to pretty much fuck off. Now this is about 15 minutes of annoying and yet shit scary stuff. I really thought I was going to get carted away to be put in a cell for something I had not done. So I managed to get to the point and ask "what's going on?" an officer turns round and says the has been a chain of mugings around the area and a car theft. So I explained "I'm only here to meet my mate who can also help to prove my innocents." In the end my mate gave the police a number so someone could confirm where I was, where I was going and what I was doing. I got off with one of the tickets. This isn't the first time this has happened. I can kind of understand by a policemen's prospective not to take chances for all they know I could of been a drug dealer or linked to the mugings of that night or the car theft. They were kind enough to apologise and they did the whole be careful thing. But I don't hold anything against them since they are only doing there job.
My dad has been a cop since I was 12. That was... wow, 12 years ago. Anyways, I respect what he does, and I respect the police in the city where he works. They are underpaid, overworked, and understaffed. Yet, they're not corrupt... yet, anyways. But, they're good guys. Other cities around where I live though, have some of the weirdest cops I've seen. My story starts with me going down to a Wawa about 5-6 miles away. I went inside, bought Mac&Cheese with fried chicken on top (so good!), Coffee, and a Pepsi. Then I went back outside to my car and decided to chow down there. When I finished, I got back to reading a fun blog on my phone about Bill O'Reilly (Tide goes in, Clean socks come out. You can't explain that!). Anyways, I figured it was time to head back, so I started up the car, and then this police car comes up behind me and blocks me in. No lights were going, so I thought he was just waiting for someone. But then, he got out. So I rolled down the window, he's standing three feet back with his hand on his gun, looking in the back of my car. "How are you doing tonight?" he asked. "Doin' okay. You?" I replied. He acknowledges with a nod while he continues to look into the back of my car. Of course, this situation and how I got into it was making no sense to me. So, I continued the conversation... Me: "Is something wrong." Officer: "Well, I hope you're not planning on going anywhere tonight." Me, confused: "Why is that?" Officer, obviously more confused: "Because you wreak of alcohol." **Quick bit of info here. I don't drink. Never have. I can't stand the idea of not being in complete control of myself. Just taking Nyquil gets me staggering. Me: "Really?" Him: "Yeeah." Me: "Well, I'm not drunk. I don't drink." Him: "What have you had to drink?" Me: "Coffee and Pepsi." Him: "Well, it smells like you had something to drink." **At this moment I see glass in the next parking space, possibly from a tequila bottle? Me: "Look, there's a broken bottle over there that might have had alcohol. That's probably what you're smelling." Him, in a condescending "whatever you say" tone: "Ooookay." Me, mocking his condescending "whatever you say" tone: "Ohookay." He gets back in his car, and I'm waiting to see backup arrive to give me a sobriety test and search my car. But, nothing happens. He drives off, and a couple seconds after that, another police car starts following him and they drive to the other side of the gas station. I'm sitting there for five more minutes, just to make sure they're not coming back. Still, nothing. So, I drive off. After I processed everything that just happened, I started to laugh. If that cop had just looked at my windshield, he would have seen that my inspection sticker expired two weeks before. :P Just a note: Police can't pull you over and not have a reason ready for pulling you over. They don't have that right. They actually risk losing their job if they pull someone over or block them in like this guy did, when they don't have any immediate reason to. This guy didn't smell alcohol. Even if I WAS drunk, he wouldn't have smelled it from inside my car.

No, I know he didn't pull me over, but they're not even allowed to block you in like that and question you without a reason. My window was shut before he came up. I guess he was looking for someone else. I'm not upset about it, and I wasn't then either. I found it annoying that he couldn't admit he was wrong, but that's it. All I'm saying is, it was weird and hilarious at the same time.

The quotes of what I said in the police report were so far off from what I was saying and I don't think it was the officer trying to distort the truth, I think it was bad recollection and understanding of what I was saying, and also me being really high and tired, but I know what I wasn't saying and my friend was able to clarify what I was saying. The officer asked why I was asking so strange and why I was talking funny. I said it was because I have epilepsy, that I have not taken my medication yet, and that my epilepsy causes me to get a act strange late at night (it was late at night at the time), and I'm talking funny because it's just the way I talk and also due to a speech impediment. In the police report the officer wrote down that "Mr. Pepin stated that he smokes pot because it makes him feel fine and dandy with his seizures". In the hearing when I heard that, I was just like "what?" and the other who were with me did the same and backed up that inaccuracy. I had an 1/8 in my pocket and we had to empty our pockets, and somehow I didn't get caught, I think it was luck and that there were five others with me. Also lucky that I only had university discipline which is pretty much a joke, although they fine you $50.
Oh my gosh.. this one is just plain ridiculous. I know, late. Who cares. I'm talking about this: Since when was boxes being moved by wind such a serious offense?
lol yeah i remember that. that's another thing, how the hell could someone that stupid become a cop? they need to have far more stringent requirements to become a cop. when one of my friends asked a cop about becoming one back when i was at school he told us you just need to be fit as he became a cop after leaving school at 14
I'm not sure where you are, but here to be a Police Officer you need a High School Diploma (GED might work), 2 years of College / University, and to pass the Police Academy.
