This is so amazing it's sexually exhilarating.

Holy shit this is cool. [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] GTA V is shaping up pretty nice. :v: [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] Oh god someone has to port this into GTA now.
This is really nice, but there are a lot of flaws too, houses that are close together or don't have a street running between them often have a pretty weird shape ( theres a lot of anomalies when you look close ). This is unbelievably awesome for reference pictures however. It's weird Google hasn't come up with this yet - most of the Streetview stuff of this Nokia one is pretty old ( I compared a few pictures of Google Streetview, Nokia 'Streetview' and pictures I made myself in San Francisco ) . Basically, if Google would pick up this idea their version would be soo much better already since they have better source material.

What the hell they didn't do my town of 7000 people what a RIP OFF

(Other than flight simulators) ArmA would be awesome. Set up some tank battles in any city in the world. Unfortunately the maps would have to be much more detailed, and have some way of editing out cars, people, etc, so you can actually move through the streets without getting stuck behind traffic. And assigning materials to everything would be a nightmare.
I am pretty sure that if you could get the full rendered 3d model of a city from one of these guys there would be a way to port it into a good fully featured engine, EG the cryengine sadly the modding support for GTA4 is a bit lacking and would make porting it about 10 times harder, that being said the guys who did that mod that adds san andreas to GTA4 might be able to do something with it.

I love how the Thames looks like it's full of submarines!
Pretty cool but the buildings are pretty jaggedy. Some of them look like they have been partialy destroyed.

Is Milwaukee too small?

Hello Wisconsin! On topic, this is awesome. I wonder if it can be ripped and used in some game as is
woah it's brosconsin up in here
Most decent thread i've seen in general discussion also..
We already have this is sweden, but it's not as accurate.
:gizz: [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] Oh fuck, I wonder if it works with my anaglyph 3D driver. [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] Nope.
It's good, although it sometimes feels like a post-nuclear apocalypse simulator.
Although this looks great and certainly tops every thing out there as far as 3d maps, it really needs to be improved so that buildings are as fucked up as some of them are. Have a process run on the machine to look for visual errors such as some of these, and have it take another closer fly by so it can correct the error.
Awesome, I found my house Gross, it's all fugly and shit Well I guess it's pretty accurate then :v:
At first, I thought Google Streetview was impressive, but that's nothing comparing to this
This would be a lot funnier if it said "Detroit"

I take it you've been to Mercat de la Boqueria? Pretty cool place. I was in Barcelona for a week like 3 years ago or something like that.
I got to spend a month here. It's been really awesome, but it's just about over.
