Grays don't wear cloths because they evolved a different warming/cooling system, and weren't prudes
Life does not have to be humanoid to be sentient and at or above human intelligence.
Aliens exist, somewhere, but are most likely not humanoid.
I disagree, a little bit. The reason why humans got to where we are today is because of our form figure. It allowed for an evolutionarily unmatched balance between function and intelligence. Our species was able to propagate because of our mind and out bodies.
This explains why four-legged animals were never able to make the leap. This concept would presumably stick on other planets as well.
This does not rule out 'clever' animals, like we see here on earth, such as birds and dogs, and other animals. Clever simply means they are able to negotiate their environment in an efficient way that suits their survival. It does not mean a higher intelligence.
You would also never find those super scary looking aliens that have weird features that won't help them evolutionarily. A species evolved based on whether it is prepared to take on the changing conditions of the environment, along with using it's resources efficiently and effectively.
Dinosaurs here on earth would have never lasted much longer with their large size even if there was no meteor to wipe them out, mainly because a lot of them were too big for their environment and used too many resources. The would have shrunk down in physical size, or the population would have remained around the same.
I think that a alien race where dieing out, and planted DNA on suitable planets, so that humanoid form will eventually evolve and develop warp technology.
I also believe warp 9 is fast enough to get to other planets like that in months at the most, even though the nearest star system is 4.3 light years away an unlikely to harbor life.

you're also telling us that humans will die out soon

I never said that. I said if an organism had a massive size, it would not be able to sustain a large population size (unless the planet had enough resources to sustain it). I will say that our species will never go above a certain population level on this planet because we're sucking this planet dry and it won't be able to sustain our resource usage over a certain level.

No, we are going to kill ourselves if we go on any longer like this.
and with the first bit I was mocking people who think star trek is possable
Well if space is infinite there probably is some life of some sort somewhere.
We're going to start colonizing worlds within the next century at this rate, so maybe we'll eventually find something then.
edit: wait scratch that, we're too stupid still.
To think that we are the only life in the universe is stupid.
To think that we are the smartest of all life in the universe is stupid.

Something that is infinite has infinite possibilities.
And one of those possibilities is that we are the only life in the universe, stupid
