OP has yet to reveal why he's so smart.
Not really. I haven't said anything stupid that I meant seriously.
So this whole thread is just a joke?
Wow guys OP is master troll I cant believe we were all trolled so hard haha he really got us with that pedestal one hey!!
Any truly intelligent person assumes those who surround him are capable of an equal intellect. Only the conceited alienate themselves in a facade of superiority.
And yes I realize what the OP is.
Any truly intelligent person assumes those who surround him are capable of an equal intellect. Only the conceited alienate themselves in a facade of superiority.
God damnit Lankist, the thread is already over. I wanted you to turn up sooner and argue him to death.
Don't worry, just :smug: it up man!
Not a joke, just bad wording I assume. Seeing as no one seems to understand what I said. I meant everything I said, but maybe it comes across different to you guys, than it does to me. Eh, let me try again. I don't feel like I'm better than everyone else, I just feel as though people are being dumbed down.. It's hard to explain, surely you guys know what I mean though?
Alright, he's a troll. ---Ok, I DID feel almost exactly like this a few years ago. I then realized that by alienating myself by thinking myself as someone higher (no matter how you try to deny it that's what you're saying) I was the exact person I didn't want to be: a REAL douchebag. You might not act out on any of these feelings, but that's what you come across as (by saying these things).
He was homeschooled
So how did he do in his exams? Does he understand maths, science, english (I would strongly doubt that one)? Does everyone around him bow to his genius level intellect or what?
you sound like a cunt c:
So how did he do in his exams? Does he understand maths, science, english (I would strongly doubt that one)? Edit: Proof of lack of common sense.
This is the part where you read the first post where I said I feel smarter in a common sense kind of way, not a 20+20=40 kind of way.
"I'm not book smart, I'm imaginary smart."
People are controlled by emotions, they act on then. If they're mad, they act on it and regret it later. Why do people have such a hard time controlling their emotions? It's so easy. Just use your brain.
How insightful! :downs:
How insightful! :downs:
Indeed. It's true though, is it not? If you can't control your emotions, you're mentally weak. People can't drive cars if they don't know how, so why should people have brains if they can't use them? And sure, imaginary smarts. We can call it that if it helps you understand.
... says the guy who goes around claiming "oh hey I'm not dumbed down so I'm better with my god damn common sense", then complains he has a hard time to enjoy hanging out with his "friends".
I never said I had a hard time. I just said it's annoying not being able to talk the way I normally would (as I would if I was around people like myself, you know, people with common sense, not hey lets go break stuff and make other peoples life crappy!).
If OP can't name the 7 intelligences without googling it, I am smarter than him.
You win, good job.
If OP can't name the 7 intelligences without googling it, I am smarter than him.
Culture =/= Intelligence [editline]07:33PM[/editline]
Indeed. Soon, you're gonna want to get your emotions removed? Did you know that, this feeling we know as "fear" has been a vital part of the development of our species? It's instinct, man.
It's pretty safe to say people don't make sense. A lot of kids look at smoking and drinking as a sign of maturity. So try to do these things as soon as possible. They do it to impress each other at that age. Sames goes for sex and drugs. Seems a pretty stupid reason to do anything, if you ask me. The worst part is it doesn't stop there. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the bully in a school is being a cunt because it makes him look tough to the rest of the assholes. This sort of thing's socially acceptable to a lot of people, and it doesn't stop there either. We're not exactly short on people who treat immigrants, gays and homeless like scum. In Manilla, there's several people living decent lives with good jobs, maybe a family, and right next to them there's thousands of starving families living in houses made from cardboard boxes. Meanwhile the people safe from the rain don't seem to care enough to even say a quick prayer for these people. They'd instead rather make excuses to themselves like "they live a simpler life". Yeah life's pretty fucking simple when you don't have to worry about chewing your own food, just because you haven't got any. I don't know how this sort of reasoning compells some people to act like they do. I just find it depressing, and end up just drinking myself to sleep on the nights when I can't get my mind off it.

I'm simply saying people need to stop being so weak and letting emotions control their lives. You know how many people are depressed (not the ones with mental problems)(yay emotions, you're so great, my life is so much better with a razor to my wrists, thanks!) because they can't control their emotions? If people were mature, that would not be happening. War? Immaturity. Hate? Immaturity. Emotional weakness? Immaturity. Sure, there's other reasons, but it all boils down to immaturity.
what a tool you are op rate op tool
No, I don't want that at all. I'm simply saying people need to stop being so weak and letting emotions control their lives. [sp]When we weren't Homo Sapiens yet, WE HAD TO LET OUR INSTINCT (which is mainly created thanks to one emotion: fear) TAKE OVER IF WE WANTED TO SURVIVE.[/sp]
What's your point? We're too intelligent now to let emotions control our lives. We don't live on instincts anymore, we actually get to use our brains (magic, I know) and think about our actions (it's crazy!).
Wow, I come back from my shower to see OP backpedalling on EVERYTHING he said. Okay, OP. You can keep living in your aura of self-intelligence. Meanwhile, I'm going to enjoy my day with my boyfriend who, while he may not be on the same intellectual scale as me, I still love, adore, and respect. But you wouldn't know what that's like, right? :downs: I feel so sorry for your girlfriend. She could definitely find someone better. edit: Emotions help us enjoy life. If you're saying you don't want to enjoy life, then I suggest you go live in Somalia.
Jesus christ OP is dumb
Okay, OP. You can keep living in your aura of self-intelligence. Meanwhile, I'm going to enjoy my day with my boyfriend who, while he may not be on the same intellectual scale as me, I still love, adore, and respect.
I love, adore and respect my dog. [editline]08:45PM[/editline] I seek something else in humans.
I love, adore and respect my dog.
Okay. What do you seek in humans? Is intelligent conversation the only way to connect to another human being? No. People who think that you cannot befriend someone who is not as smart or quick witted just because of the difference in "IQ" are highly conceited. That's like saying I shouldn't have a mentally handicapped friend because they're less intelligent than me.
I generally feel more intelligent than the people I'm around... Justifiably. It's just where I live. Everyone tells me I think too much. Too many people think with their emotions and have no concept of the repercussions of their actions. I don't know if that means they're stupid or what, but it does alienate me from the majority of people. Unlike the OP, I have no issues with substance abuse, smoking, or drinking. I really prefer not to be around people who are drunk though, because that makes them even more emotionally and mentally unstable. So apparently by the dumb ratings, I should involve myself in a loveless and dramatic relationship and do things that I'll either regret for the rest of my life or put me in jail? I live life in a way I find enjoyable, I have strange hobbies and interests that keep me sane and social. I avoid a massive pile of dramatic bullshit at all cost because I have been there and I know how mind numbingly painful and nerve racking it is. Weighing the negatives and the positives, I decide that my lifestyle is what I'm happy with and only wish I could get other people to see things my way. I would really like to hear people's opinions on my manner of thinking because while I believe it's outside of the box I don't think I have a psychological problem. If I actually am in the wrong and going about things the wrong way, I would like to hear someone explain to me what's wrong with me.
itt op thinks differently, thinks hes special
We don't live on instincts anymore
Think about your everyday life and think about this sentence again
we actually get to use our brains (magic, I know) and think about our actions (it's crazy!).
Seeing all your posts in this thread it looks like this doesn't apply to you
I'm 18, I'm a Prep, maybe that's why I'm "conceited." In the end, I think I'm right though, I think people are just stupid. Or maybe I just matured too fast, and now it's me who screwed up. Or maybe I just think I'm too mature (hah). Who knows.
Well, obviously you haven't matured very much at all if you're talking like that. Learn some humility and social skills before a "less intelligent" group of your peers decide to beat the living shit out of you.
